So this applies to the NS4 Compact, right?

Yes, NS4 compact.

And comparing with my NS2 EX compact, a huge difference. The NS2 EX compact keybed feels more light to play and have noisy springs. Must be the age.

Can anyone spot the differences between 2.2 ?
Seems like they removed the arrow next to “Analog” for the Delay button. This goes along with the firmware not having an option to long press for Analog Delay mode.

What color are the volume sliders? Also grey?

I believe the grey sliders were introduced sometime during the v2.0 Rev B rollout.

This could easily be accessible via some shift function in RevA, but I guess Nord won’t do it because of the missing labeling. Probably not a real hardware change for these features..
It's worth trying for someone with a Rev A. When new button features (shift +) were added to the Stage 3, they worked on mine even though the labeling wasn't there.
Following up on RevA/RevB firmware behavior differences:

I already tried Shift+”xx” … at this time, new functionality from RevB is not accessible with RevA.
This includes
* Rotary Ambient/Close stored per patch (RevA is global in sound settings)
* Poly Mode for B3 percussion

Thanks for reporting this important info.

It is quite strange actually, unless Rev B also provides some additional computing power and/or memory space (for firmware to accomodate the additional code required or for Programs) that may justify why Rev A cannot support those features.

Many thanks, I agree.
Same with Panel Rev 1.4.
I tried it with every OS update with shift-function, holding the button long and by changing the global parameter and saving the patch, but it didn‘t work.
Important: The actual manual 1.4x ignores this change and does not describe this function correctly for older Panel versions.

Edit: I reported this to Nord support and keep you informed.
Edit 2: 14. Feb 2025, I‘m still waiting.

Any additional changes anyone is aware of with panel v. 2.3, besides the analog delay labeling and possibly some keybed spring differences with the Compact? I am hoping I'll end up with the latest panel version when I buy one, but it seems like there's been quite a few revisions thus far, which makes me a bit hesitant should they add some important features that won't work on older revisions (mainly thinking about the midi stuff).

I am not aware of any. Based on posts, v2 2 was around August '24 and v2.3 was around December '24. You could very well get a v2.2 if purchased today, but the seller might be able to tell you before purchasing.
