Re: New nord teaser for NAMM 2020
All I will say is if this is in fact a new Nord Lead, I am hoping these changes are included:
1. Aftertouch.
2. Following from the above, separate morph assignments for aftertouch, pedal and wheel like the Stage.
3. Sample loading capabilities like the Nord Wave.
4. Fully-featured fx section.
5. A normal synth layout, not A1 inspired.
I'd almost certainly buy it at that point.

Omg. They really answered all the most common requests.
5 octaves, afterthought, displays, an amazing effect section, full interface without the A1 compromises, multiple synth engines...
This is almost...too much!

You can see they ditched the wood end cheeks to keep costs
Unfortunately though, 61 keys and weighted keys breaks it for me. I'm a synth player. Will have to consider a lot before upgrading from my wave to this one...

It has waterfall semi-weighted keys. Probably the same as the Electro and Stage. Much better than synth keys, IMHO.cambe wrote: 61 keys and weighted keys breaks it for me. I'm a synth player.

right, I'm selling my body for this rig, covers exactly what I need. I'm not fussed by the wooden cheeks missing, if I remember right, it was the same for both nord lead keyboards? either that or one of them Lead A1 or 4.. question is... how much is it? I guess we'll find out won't we lol.

That is very weird. Here in Sweden it is schedule to be priced at 25900 SEK (Dlx and Jam), which would be slightly more expensive than the price announced at Sweetwater.Spider wrote:2700$ at Sweetwater, so it will be between 2500 and 3000 euros.
How could that ever be?

It is the general feeling of the board or the action actually changes a lot? I was always very satisfied with the Nord Lead A1 and 4 keybedsSpider wrote:It has waterfall semi-weighted keys. (The original Wave one was really terrible though)
