We could set the external section, set morph, etc. all within a menu.
It’s exactly what I mean !

It’s can’t work like this for me. I’am using 2 extern layers :
- One to play a performance from my Virus Ti2 so I need a zone of the keyboard to play this perfomance (and CC control with morph)
- Another one to control my Eventide H9 FX (PC and using CC control with morph)

If I record a performance using the triple-sensor function into a DAW and then play back the recorded MIDI data, only a single note is heard.
Thank you for taking time to check this. Another way to check it is to loop your midi out to midi in with local off, my Kawai MP11 when tested like this will play the retriggers, sending the same midi to my NS3 will not. Currently no benefit of triple sensor piano controllers against NS3 at least.

Okay, assuming that Clavia completely changes their entire approach to interface design, breaking the basic concept of how the Stage works:
How would you suggest they build this menu on this current machine, as a separate entity from the synth, but using the existing interface elements?
Given that there are a total of THREE assignable dials for parameter selection, and NO "Enter" button or other way to confirm selection or switch hierarchies?
Also, keep in mind that there is already a hardware switch to toggle between "Synth", "Sample", and "Extern" modes.
It's certainly not going to happen on any Stage 4 or 4EX machine.

Maybe you’re wright, but in this case Cavia has allready change their approach to the Nord Stage : Extern section is now only a joke, a marketing argument because if you want to use it, you loose fonctions that were on the previous NS. The previous NS coukd be the brain of a set, this one is for me a fabulous stage keyboard but can’t be no more the brain.
If no update is possible, I hope that the Nord Stage 5 will fix this…

If Clavia at some point wants to do it from a menu (sub menu), they can as they control everything.
They knew that we would have this kind of discussion as we really like our Stages (had NS2 88, NS2 ex 88, Electro 5d 73 and C2).
I wasn’t happy that the leslie was after the reverb in my NS3 88 compare to my NS2s but I had to live with it and I’m ok now.
Loosing external functionalities that we had in the NS3 is sad. If I decide to buy at some point a NS4 88, my other keyboard will have to fulfill everything my Stage won’t be able to do.

Yes. This has been fixed in the Nord Stage 5.

From the manual, it seems like (though it is unclear) that the LFO can be used for osc. cfg, pitch, OR filter, but only one of those destinations. These seems to be a slight step back from the Stage 3, which has separate LFO amount knobs for filter cutoff and osc. cfg.

Maybe it's a typo, but on the NS3 the Leslie is after the reverb.
