I’m using one on both of my Stage 3s. Works great.Schorsch wrote:Yes, the Yamaha MD-BT01 gets enough power from my Nord Stage 3s and works fine here too. But the CME WIDI Master, at 37mW, consumes 42% more power than the MD-BT01 at 26mW. Therefore, I wonder if the power provided at the MIDI ports of the Nord is still sufficient for the CME WIDI Master, especially because the power supply of devices via MIDI ports is not standardised.maxpiano wrote:I tried with Yamaha MD-BT01 and it worksSchorsch wrote:Anyone tried the CME WIDI device and can confirm that the Nord MIDI ports provide sufficient power for this device?
WIDI Master and WIDI jack use the 5-pin connectors. WIDI Jack is more universal, in case you ever want to use it on some other keyboard that does not supply MIDI power, or if its connectors are spaced farther away from each other than typical. WIDI Master is more "invisible," there's no dangling piece to keep out of the way or attach somewhere else. I've never used either on a Nord, though I think its connectors are close enough together that either should work fine.superbender wrote:Which one can you recommend?anotherscott wrote:If you have an iPhone, you can do it via bluetooth, by plugging a CME WIDI device into the back of your Nord. (I don't think that works with an Android smartphone, though.)
MIDI Out connectors can be 5v, 3,3v, or unpowered. The CME devices work with either 5v or 3.3v, and do not require an unusual amount of power. As the chart referenced indicates, people have already reported success with Electro and Stage models. AFAIK, on any keyboard, as long as the 5-pin provides power at all, it can power one of these.Schorsch wrote:Anyone tried the CME WIDI device and can confirm that the Nord MIDI ports provide sufficient power for this device?

I got the device and tried it. Everthing works as expected - really cool! Thanks for the recommendation!superbender wrote:I ordered the CME WIDI Master and will check it with the Nord Stage 4 on the weekend.
Hi! And yes, the NS4C is supported as it uses the same form factor as the NS3C - happy days!florence wrote:superbender wrote:
Regarding the mount I found this https://www.w3brr.nl/de/shop/nord-mic-s ... et-holder/ .If you only use one keybed it is perfect. Hopefully also for the NS4C.
thanks for this nice link !
Don't forget to check the firmware versions on these. There is an update tool available. Mine were all out of date and I updated them easily.superbender wrote:I got the device and tried it.
