Yup, the 5HP will do nicely ^_^ Really enjoying all the functionality so far. Upgrading from an Electro 2 73, so lots new here to play with!

Ended up going with the GKPE-61-TSA case and it seems to fit snugly enough. A bit of room for a couple pedals / cables on the side and using one of the skinny pads on the end instead of the second insert since it was too fat. Didn't have to have a lot of extra room since I put most of my gear in other cases, so should work well for me.

A bit quiet round these parts...Anyone else have any special deliveries in the last few days?

Same here! It's everything I'd hoped it would be. I told my wife I think it's also a time machine. Hours go by way too quickly playing it.

Hear hear! My 61 arrived yesterday and I am most impressed. I, too, need to play a bit more and recover from the delirium before I can coherently comment further.

Hello all! New to the forum and thought I'd make my first contribution. Just got off the phone with sweetwater and the rep told me that my Electro 5d73 would be arriving from nord to hq by the end of this week (most likely next week). Just trying to keep my composure until my baby arrives.

Honeymoon went well, took her out dancing Saturday night after plenty of careful practice. I cannot express to you guys how valuable this instrument is as an improvisational tool and how steep the learning curve for it is because of the very thoughtful work on design. So far I cracked open the manual once to learn how to setup my slightly modified (reduced spring tension) half-moon switch (I use rotor stops more than some).
This is my first NORD... I really got it for the SW WF key bed and tonewheel emulation. I didn't expect such a range of expression in a live setting.

How do you like the key bed for playing piano oriented songs?

I practice on a 94-year-old upright piano with 94-year-old action so I am biased to a lighter pianist touch. The SW response is lighter of course but on the default velocity envelop, I hardly notice it. The keyboard touch, I think, favors electronic musicians because the least sensitive (default) setting might still require a lighter touch than many pianists would prefer. I lingered way too long in way too many music stores, fondling fondly the E4D's before I was finally pushed over the edge after reading the E5D specs. The only thing missing is una corda/sostenuto and I can just use the electro to become rich and famous enough to afford the S3 when it comes out.
Should only take a couple weeks.

is that a couple weeks until you "become rich and famous" or a couple weeks until the Stage 3 comes out?
