After using the Rhodes EP E7 for a while, I also deleted it in order to have a little more variation in the Rhodes sounds. The advantages of the EP E7 didn't seem to be worth it. It is really tough using a Electro 3 and trying to fit in the new sounds. (I found I liked the new Amped Wurly enough to make room for it. It has more dynamics. The old Wurly was dull and never cut through.

Unfortunately I still wasn't able to squeeze in a Med size Upright back in, so I'm using a Sm size now. I lalso added the SparkleTop, since there was just a little extra room left for something. I don't use the Upright enough to bump out the other two EPs I really want to use. The Blue Swede Upr has a nice ring to it, so I feel I can go with the Sm size.

My new line up is:
Bright Gr Lg
Blue Swede Upr Sm
EP2
EP5
EP Sparkletop
Wurly Amped
Clavs

Last night I spent a while reorganizing the sounds in relationship to what I use most for the band I play with. Amazing how long this can take. Well at least the E3 is still supported even though my choices are getting slim.

Just found this manual for the CP80, which in page 7 has the tuning chart.

So the sample provided by Clavia is spot on! ;)

Cp70 is stereo.
Erm, no it isn't!
It has 2 outputs but only produces "stereo" with the tremolo effect. Pick ups and tone control panel is all mono.
I guess they could have put stereo mic's over the strings?
In Wales, no one will hear you scream.

CP 70/80 are mono. The only thing in stereo is the tremolo effect.

Here's another eq-setting which works very well for me with the EP7: Bass: +0, Mids at 3,9: +13, High: +12. As well as perhaps a bit Compressor at about 3,5.

settings I use on electro 4 are bass -9, mid (12 o clock) gain( 2 o clock) and high +8 or so. I was comparing it to a direct rhodes mk1 sound that I heard on youtube

I had a listen with headphones. There is a noticeable "spatial effect", but I did not notice any obvious key positioning across the channels. I guess that the instrument was amped in mono, but recorded simultaneously from 2 different positions, so there is some a wall reflection or similar.
What I also noted is that there is very little phase cancellation when switching the Mono mode on.

I think the new Rhodes has showed that Nord is capable of better things, especially the CP80.

Although, no offense to u guys, bluthner and kawai and that lot, they sound disgusting in real life to be very honest.

Is it me or the new EP7 sounds more quiet than the rest of the electric pianos? I still like the EP6 best.
