+ 1. BTW, there are many other interesting organ parameters that could be added - see VB3 Preset and Global options for example ;-)

However, we must keep in mind that, to remain consistent with their "system" choices, Clavia should assign a unique Control Change code to every added control parameter. Now, according to the list in page 8 of Nord Stage 2 OS Version 1.30 Release Notes, there are at most 14 CC# left free (may be less?), which seems insufficient to hold all the features wanted in this thread! And of course, future OS evolutions would suffer from a premature CC# saturation - except if Clavia calls to SysEx for help...

The NS2 seems pretty well rounded to me, except that it desperately needs customizable pitch bend. The fixed 2-tone bend range is just ridiculous; I've asked them for this feature, but the latest update didn't incorporate it. It's actually kind of frustrating, as this would be the ideal board for me if only this feature was included - and it had better not max out at one octave.

Secondly: to my understanding, the vibrato range and speed have been made editable per patch. That's neat, but I'd like to see the option to widen the range of the vibrato vastly for extreme uses.

+1, even though for my max. 1 Octave shall do it. But it is mysterious to me why it hasnt been incorporated into an OS update. But given this is a common complain already for years, maybe it is (as strange as it might sound) not possible via OS update??

+1 again, the vibrato setting is nice, but in particular I'd like to see a broader freq. range.

Does anybody feel that the reverb amount should be configurable? I think is a big issue!!

Hi arecio,
I don't understand exactly what you mean. The reverb amound IS configurable no (the dry/wet poti), or are you talking about the space characteristics? They would be typically multiple parameters so would require some additional potis IMHO.
Or individual instruments assignable to it?? THAT I might like to see, too!

That's it. I don't need the same reverb amount in an organ than in a electric piano. This little issue forced me to use the piano in mono in another output, and using it dry.

I´d like to see more velocity control in the synth section.
I think the parameter should have a higher value, so that natural sounds are playing better.

How about adding "reverb patches" into the soundmanager - there is an algorithm behind the reverb unit - so just change the parameters and then upload them into the unit. So you can have up to six individual reverb settings (i dont think noone ever will need more than those six settings) - at least i´m very happy with the six settings i got... ;)

I think the quality of reverbs are quite ok (a spring emulation should be fine) but the possibility to change the reverb amount for each part is a must....

Hello,

I hope that Clavia (Nord) has a way to read the ideas shared on that topic. Will it be sent to Nord ? Already done ?

A french forum has done the same before : here , but for those who don't speak french ... sorry.

I am just a new and "fresh" owner/user, and this can be the occasion to clarify some points on how to use the NS too.

I have 3 wishes :

- More use of the "Shape" knob :
This knob works only on Tri/Saw and Square, nothing on waveforms, and only bypass of sample attack on samples. This is stated in the user manual.
This knob is morphable ans has leds, I wish it had more actions on the samples, like the ability to controle Attack/Decay/Relase of Mod or Amp. Nord Sample Editor could offer that choice of assignation.

- Audio via usb :
On stage with a MacBook would be easier. The sound of VSTs trigered via USB midi would go to NS's audio outputs. Jupiter 80 works like that. M-Audio Prokeys work like that too. Kronos too. I'm sure you can find many others. I hope/think NS2 hardware is capable of that, it may "only" be software upgrade.

- Oscilliator source for morphing :
An independant LFO that would assignable as a controler to morph.
Actually we can chose between "ATouch", "Wheel", "Pedal". We could have one more choice called, maybe "LFO".

;)
