Hi Paul,
I am unfortunately not able to change the split point as I don’t have a D50 available.

Hey Schorsch,
OK, I see now - thanks for explaining. I'm not complaining anyway because I am very grateful for all the help you have given this week.
I was looking at the Roland Cloud site and they have a VST 'D50' on offer - $149 and you can keep it for life. It opens in your DAW (I have Cubase).
Cheers.

Hi folks,
I managed to get 3 or 4 brass samples into this composition (if you care to listen). A couple of them don't sound quite that bad
in the mix.
All sounds, minus drums, played-in
live and generated on the Nord Electro 6.
The piece is called "Mirage" and I want to dedicate it to US composer Carla Bley. I'm currently in conversation with a small handful of lyricists/vocalists . . .
Many thanks for all your help to date.

Very nice! Here's the MP3 so folks can listen to it without downloading. Take care.

I really appreciate the applause! It took about 3 hours all in all.

That's so helpful, cheers. I was not even aware you could do this!

. . . incidentally, for 18 months I have never understood why on earth anyone want an Upright Piano sample. To me it just defeated the whole object of having a state of the art keyboard. Anyway, after some recent rearranging in the Piano Section, I found I had a little space left over so I decided to fill it with something just for the sake of it. So I downloaded the Grand Upright. After messing around with it for 20 minutes or so I found that I really did LIKE it after all! Hence I added a little fill at the end of "Mirage". It's not a particularly imaginative line but I think it would have sounded 'inappropriate' if played on a Grand Piano.

Sounds great - reminds me a little bit of Herbie Hancock stuff from the '70s. Nice work!
