Looks nice. :)

Something that surprised me:

Sample storage size: 1 GB
Piano storage size: 2 GB

The sample size is reasonable, but I was expecting more than 2 GB for the Piano section actually... especially if one favour XL samples.

2GB is in line with the Stage models though, normally previous Piano models have had less memory than the flagship Stage line. (Piano 4 had 1GB)

I'm really pleased with this new release - full hammer action keybed, ability to layer 2 Pianos, 2GB memory and also all the latest filters etc.

I know its only just fresh off the press, but wondering now when we will see this appearing in the music stores to purchase or preorder. And what the pricing might look like (I'm guessing around the £1500 mark for the 73 model)
As soon as I see it, my money is on it :D

Anyone want to buy an Electro 5HP73 haha?

in Comparison chart... Advanced Keyboard Split... does that mean selectable at any key?

maybe not at any key as LED indicators are in the usual places

I'd presume this reflects only the seamless transition/blending between split zones.

hmm, but I think that NP4 already had that? why would they write something different for P4 and P5 if they share the same feature on that one? :?

Something completely new to all Nords seems to be new reverb type. It now has 5 different options + dark/bright as I saw in comparison chart... can't wait to see first review :D :D :D

That's a serious upgrade, it's basically 2 NP4 in one package! For the first time a Nord other than the Stage gives us 2 piano/sample engines...I wonder if this will happen in the Electro 7 too. And I love the 73-key option...on a Stage with its 8 engines, very often 88 keys are vital to have space for all the splits and layers, but for a piano-focused instrument the full 88 keys are much less important. Finally after the venerable Stage 2 HA76, we get another 73-76 keyboard with a quality hammer action!

As fo the rest it's mostly the same old Clavia piano. I like that differently from the Stage, all 4 parts are easily selectable in the effect section, without having to switch layers. Apart form that, the only other major difference is the Reverb section.

The reverb section is identical to the Wave 2, looks like this will become the standard on newer Nords. The Bright mode has been around since the Stage3/Electro6/Piano4, but the Booth, Cathedral and Chorale modes were introduced with the Wave 2.
