Option to have sustain and/or control pedal to be transmitted to external devices (a second tier keyboard) even when the extern layer is not active. A setting in the extern section of each program maybe. So that the NS4s pedals are a master, when playing the external keyboard - or both keyboards.

I really hope that nord will continue to implement the second oscillator combinations as it did in update 1.20 to make it look more and more like the synth section of stage 3

Me too. I’d also like to have the stage 3 Supersaw.

The EXTERN sections should not reduce the internal slots of the synth section.
It is very important that they become two separate functionalities :thanks:

Exactly. This has been one of my major critics of current NS4.

It’s even more stupid because it was like that (=putting a synth panel to EXT mode did not shut off corresponding synth) till OS 1.08. So it’s proven that NS4 is fully capable of working like that but for some reason they decided to take that out.

Very unlikely to happen as it would require some kind of bastard solution based on a mix of the panel philosophy from previous Stages with the separate layer philosophy of the Stage 4.

Please explain me one thing: What would be harm if you put synth a to EXT mode and it would remain still "active"? (This would of course mean that you could play this synth externally from some othet midi device. I've described this current behavior as "waste of multitimbral power")
