In this picture of the GFP- 3 on the Thomann site the plug clearly has six pins. Scroll through the pics and enlarge - it's unmistakeable. What am I misunderstanding please?

The manual is wrong, it is a 6-pin DIN connector (we already posted a picture of it in some other post or thread, I put it here again), btw if you own a NS4 you may also check it visually yourself.

Nord detects GFP3 as Nord TP 2 (the new one). I had no problem with connecting to TP3 input. Here You have photo and video :)

Hi Mateusz, thanks for this info! Can you confirm the full functionality of this pedal (layer/scene change, pedal noise, for example)? Thanks!!

Thank you for sharing!
Unfortunately the L-Connector is, when connected to the NS4, directed upwards. It looks like Nord rotated that 180 degrees - maybe to make the Kawai GFP3 pedal less attractive for NS4 owners. With a short DIN 6-PIN extension cable you should be able to solve the problem non-destructively.

In Norway, the price of the Kawai GFP 3 is just about the same as The Nord TP2. Therefor it makes no sense to chose the Kawai.
Haven't searched any second hand forums yet though.

Wow, I didn't expect that. In Germany you pay for the Kawai GFP approx. 150 € and for the Nord TP2 350 €.

In Italy, current Thomann prices are 142€ for the GFP-3 and 354€ (!) for the NTP2.
I'd say that 212€ are sufficient consolation for suffering the heartbreaking ugliness of an upward-pointing connector ;)

I'll have to go back on my earlier statement. The Kawai is about the same price as The Nord TP1.
The TP2 is about 370$, so it definitely makes sense to purchase the Kawai instead of the Nord pedal :-)

Unfortunately I have to wait for the next delivery because I didn't keep this one for myself :/ We need to wait 3-4 weeks :(
