If you give it a quick thought...
All Stage 3 prices in the states went down. Then up for a short time. Then back down again! Does anybody think that Clavia is setting up prices on whatever new Nord product is coming out soon here? For instance the NS3C that is now 3499 in the states that for almost a year went up to 4199. To me sounds like if a stage 4 comes out. The price will probably be 4500 to 5 grand or more! Clavia could be setting up shop for whoever wants this new product for a bigger buck! Lol...
Just my thoughts...
Nord Stage 3 Compact, Roland AX-7 keyboard guitar. Past keyboards and modules. Roland A-70 Controller, Kurzweil K25OORS Sampler, Roland D-50, Korg NSR5 module, Juno 60, Roland 106, Korg Poly 6, Yamaha DX-7, Hammond B-3 with 122 Leslie...

Why would they do this in the US and not in Europe?

Especially since the exchange rate has dramatically changed over the past two years?

Not sure why we are seeing this here, in the states and not in Europe? Maybe to much product left here? Or possibly product trends start in California from the west and move east...Never the less Ifeel something is going to happen with a new Nord product soon...

Euro price is including VAT, isn’t it?

Or is it not applied when sold to UK post-Brexit?

So the British price to compare to the US price, excluding VAT, is £2962.50.

US prices are always cited excluding tax, because those vary state-to-state.

Ah that's interesting. I had forgotten about that!

What would an average rate of sales tax be in the US? Don't really understand how it's calculated over there ....

Depends on the state you live in, and also what shop you buy from. If you purchase from a small independent shop that is not in the state in which you live, the sales tax rate is normally 0% :) That's how I do it.

Actually most US states have Use Tax on their books and it usually just happens to be the same rate as the states sales tax. So buying expensive goods from another state you owe your state Use Tax, states rely on the honor system for people to report purchases. I live in a state that has alway had a Use Tax but unless people were abusing it they usually did nothing. Since the state's economy started getting bad a decade or so ago they have been going after people for Use Tax on large purchases.
