Are there any informed guesses when the release might be due?
Does anybody know more about the rumours that Nord is switching again its whole mainboard architecture?

This seems likely to be an NP5 - there’s very little reason to cover up the designation otherwise. Eagle eyed spotters can try and tell the difference.

as a piggy back on this, does it have the same action as the Nord Grand?

Based on the info earlier in the thread, PIano 5 does not have Nord Grand feature set (which is basically just Piano 4 with more memory and a better action).

It would not make sense for it to have the better action of the Nord Grand unless they intend to discontinue the Nord Grand and just make the Nord Piano more expensive. So I'd have to say nope.

Agree - I would not expect the Kawai action to be built into the NP5 but continue with the current keybed, to keep the differentiators between the Nord Piano and the Nord Grand products.

Looks like it could well be it, yes... difficult to spot details anyway, apart from the overall panel layout which doesn't look like being the one of a NS3, nor a NP4 nor... a NE6HP ?

Right. Looks a bit like a NE6 with the piano engine at the place of the organ engine. Or whatever you define it. They'll know why they put it in 480p.

Yep, the Effects section (right hand side) looks like the one of a NS2 but of course the rest (missing synth display area and left side) is not, so it has really to be the new NP5

Actually the effect section looks pretty much like the NP4's, with one less knob in the AMP section as compared to the Stage (the Drive one), and with compressor and reverb on two separate columns as opposed to the layout of the Stage which sees them one ontop of the other. Another hint that it must be it.

Main question that remains [for me]: What action? One step up from NP4 .......... or not?

PS. I should add that I fear anotherscott and others are right :(
