Nord Stage 4

With my history I buy a new keyboard and six months later and new version comes out. So based on that the Nord Stage 4 should be announced in two months.

If they will announce it will be from january to june.. nord havent announce new instrument at september or october

I truly believe that this kind of posts are completely counterproductive. The fact to show interest in a product that do not exist is pushing manufacturers to abandon/forget old product lines. What is the need of a NS4, truly? I would like to understand why people come to this forum to push for a new model rather than collaborate on the current product line... for sure, NS3 has plenty of room for improvement but come on guys... don't cry about programmed obsolescence when some guys are pushing that to the extreme (and at least Nord update the product line for ages...)

I full yagree, and that's also why my answers are a bit sarcastic - it's useless to talk about non-existing products which may probably not come at all.

And, we should change the thread title to make it clear that there is no such thing as a Nord Stage 4.
Useless topics about future/possible/hypothetic products should be clearly labeled as such, to avoid fooling people and wasting their time.

Or maybe add another category to the forum called "speculations/wishes" or similar, in which all such kind of threads could be placed into - I know this from other forums and it's quite helpful to separate such threads from others

I agree with your sentiment, but I think that's also useful to further separate between wild speculations driven by an almost morbid desire towards something "new" just for the sake of it (when there's nothing wrong or missing with the current product line), on one hand, and good-willed questions, mostly from new members who have, in my opinion, the right to at least wonder, before spending 4 thousands euros/dollars, if the near future releases calendar is something the members of this forum can have an educated guess about, on the other hand.

I get it that the forum explicitly disclaim not to be associated in any way with Clavia, and that the question gets asked a lot, but a potential buyer who's been lurking around the Clavia site and has checked the market and the prices, and is wondering whether to pull the trigger on which product, then joins here and asks if we know whether something new is about to come out soon, doesn't deserve, again in my opinion, much sarcasm. We would simply answer always in the same way, namely that no one knows. Rather, I suppose that what he could legitimately be told is to read previous threads on the subject before posting his own, but again, it's understandable if not all people do it all the time either.

I hope it shows from my post I am not being counter-sarcastic at you Schorsch! I just wanted to give such posting its due, for what it is (not much, but not zero either).

On the other other hand, the Stage 3 was released 5 years ago so it’s not unreasonable for a potential new purchaser to check around to see if anything might be coming.

As to “nothing wrong or missing”, I’m sure the same thing was said before the 3 was released.

Will a 3X or 4 be released soon? Only Clavia knows, but given Yamaha releasing the YC they should at least be considering it.
