Same experience on my stupid expensive Bosie. There's a minimum velocity required to get a tone. Agreed that folks who don't have real AP experience might have different expectations.
Although the selective resonance trick is kind of cool.

I sent a feedback message to Nord about when the Grand would be shipping to the USA and I actually got a response. They said they would be shipping to the USA "in volume starting the beginning of September". I can't wait either.

So - I read through ALL of these posts! NICE! I have a Yamaha SX8 or ES8, one of the other. I play it strictly for the piano - that's it!
on another post I posted in this forum - when you intently try to play without playing a sound. Yamaha's built in grand is nice - but, when you load a "sample" for example, Steinway, Bosendorfer, or Kawai, and you try to play without making any sound, it sounds! DRIVES ME NUTS because a real acoustic piano doesn't do that and neither does the internal factory piano sounds. Question - does anybody know IF the samples loaded into the NG do this? I'm really interested in the samples and whether or not they respond like the built in pianos.

As we already said in this thread, all Nord keyboards with a Piano section manage the Silent keystroke (what you mean) properly.
