That's true...and the all-in-one is very appealing. But it's so damn $$$

Sorry, but when I see this thread title, I imagine it as sung like Elton John:
"Goodbye Clavia NOOOOOORRD STAAAAAGE THREEEEEEE Ahhhhhhhahhhhhhhha...."

Re: Goodbye Nord Stage 3
Having been a little snarky on this thread let me add... I think Nord needs to do a better job of communicating with their customers. They are coming across as rank amateurs at the moment, giving and taking features, seemingly at will. I'm happy with my Stage 3 but I can see where I'd be pretty pissed if I had been planning on using DualKB mode the way some here were/are, or the pending load issue, or for that matter, the ridiculous MIDI design in the Lead A1, or the noise problems in the Drum 3P. I think a lot of the ill will that's generated here could be avoided if Clavia would assign someone to at least give us some semi-official unofficial input.

Though I hardly knew you at all
You had the grands and mellotrons
And reverbs, stage and hall...

And while we're at it, I think Clavia short-changed us for not having a Demo button. I should be able to just smack that sucker in the middle of a gig while it belts out a spirited MIDI rendition of the Peter Gunn theme--that'll really get the crowd going.

@derrellpiper:
Let me know how it goes for the third movement of moonlight sonata. I was never bale to nail it properly on my Stage 2 because the response of the Keybed is too "slacky" Not sure I'm using the right word in English but with all the good advices I got on this website I came to the conclusion that I need a Kawai MP3 to do it with the right bum speed it needs....

@Gambold:
"I can see the need of a synth for a composer or as a studio instrument but the Nord Library is more than enough....For the customers after their third gin Rickey"....
Ok, we play music for people, for others, but also for us: There no comparison about playing a real synth compared to play just a sample....Pitch bend, wheel, aftertouch, two slides on my Prophet 12....The joy is for you as well, a well made synth, with its real realtime control is an instrument on its own...There is nothing to replace it and I understand why people will accept to carry more boards or to buy the Stage instead of just the Electro.
Maybe I'm still a big kid but anytime I'm using the Morph just for a filter sweep or whatever effect that the synth section let you do, I'm really at heaven, even if my audience doesn't pay attention at all....Ok, you can play "Jump" with just a Stage but I can tell you it brings really something to play it with two Matrix 1000 in stereo....And the audience will come to you to tell you after the gig....
So, what is true for a real synth on top of an Electro is also true for a Stage compared to an Electro....Consequently, users who have been golden with the Stage 2 are "pissed"" because of the high expectations that Nord set up themselves and I understand their frustrations..

Re: Goodbye Nord Stage 3
Regarding customer service: I wrote Clavia via their „Contact us“ offer several times. It had been praises, questions, complaints and feature requests. I NEVER got an answer or any kind of response. Very disappointing.
