Yes the Electro 2 has a better menu(gain stage) than any Stage organ.
Why anyone would base their Stage purchase on the B3 sim? is beyond me.
I dunno. I spent some time EQ’ing the organ on both my old Stage 2 and now on the Stage 3, working with a combination of Leslie drive and the overdrive in the EQ section, and it sounds pretty damn killer. The internal Leslie sim on the 3 isn’t far from a Vent anymore (the Stage 2 was a different matter, but I constantly got commended on the great Hammond sound by sound techs and other musicians whenever I used it).
I just futzed with it until it felt and played like my B3.

Stage 3 'organ' sounds fine.Just not as useable as the older Electro2 Hammond model IMO.I prefer an A100 to a B3 so those samples are my favorites. They drive the Neo Vent more like my A100
than my B2.Never heard a Leslie sim I could tolerate all night until the Neo Vent came along.Beside these real 'boxes' the Nord sims are a joke.
I tolerate the Neo Ventilator, just as much as I tolerate the C2D! Stage organs at best I consider 'playable',certainly good enough to listen to,weird to play though.
Maybe Nord should offer these older Electro samples and 'menu' on the Stage models? Flagship is missing useable functions.....and who really needs 3 harpsichords,3 digital grands etc.?Not me!
Happy to report I have only 1.1 megs left in this Stage 3 piano memory. Nord should offer way more on the organ engine though!
Thrilled to have such great pianos, and loving the crossfade between zones. Those abrupt tone changes are a thing of the past.
At least five organ models are what I'd expect. How about a 'chorus' organ like a BCV? How about an M3? How about another A100?
Being stuck with only one useable sample set is frustrating, these other sets are garbage IMO.Nothing resembling Lee Michaels old BV either....where is the useable 'beater'?
Only the clean '60 is ever used? How about a realistic 'worn out caps' sample set? The one they included isn't useable. They should dial back the crosstalk and voice robbing a lot on that one!

As an aside... the organ sounds are not samples.

One useable organ in the Hammond category on a Stage 3.Many great pianos though! Samples or not, they could have done a better job for that kind of money.
No wonder they can afford holidays. The 'organ' engine team there are basking in a previous 'glory' and need to get back to work!

In this part of the world, holidays are not optional. They are regulated by law and if a company is not able to ensure employees get their holidays, the company will be penalized and the employees will be compensated. And as strange as you may find our systems, remember we may view other systems to be equally strange and foreign
Anyway, I get the impression you're not entirely happy with the Nord organs... maybe some other brand of keyboard would be more to your liking then?

I am happy with the C2D.It sounds pretty darn good!
Not thrilled with the Stage organs.Need a bigger menu!
Played an Electro5 organ and it kicks the pants off any Stage I've played......and the old Electro 2 as well.
What's up with that?
If Nord ever gets a Stage 'all right' that'll be it.End of story.......and the end of Nord too no doubt.
The dangling of the carrot with the hare chasing etc. Meet it out little by little.....they upgraded the pianos and synth and downgrade the organs.Simple as that.
How else where they gonna sell a C2D? Lucky I have a Yamaha C7 I can play from time to time for a reality check, along with my Hammonds/Leslies.
I'll bet they're having a great holiday with my cash!

But… the organ engine in the Stage 3
is the C2D. So I don't know what you're talking about.

I definitely had to work with my Hammond settings, the menus, the compressor, the EQs, etc. to get it where i like it - but now I REALLY like it. Sometimes I wonder if people actually know what a Hammond sounds like - and no I don't mean hearing it with the Leslie with you in the room - I mean the Leslie mic'd back stage somewhere where you can't hear it directly at all. The Nord S3 covers that REALLY well, and THAT'S what matters because that's what the audience hears!

I love the way the C2D plays. Very close to my favorite A100.
The Stage 3 organ plays less 'great' on either of these Stage 3's.Will get the job done on the compact OK but still not organ 'action'.
Will satisfy most for sound but plays clumsy compared to the real deal.I am used to 'padding' on the HA88 but solos? Not so much on either Stage 3 thanks.
Go back to an organ keyboard and try those flourishes without mangling anything......sound is one thing.Tactile response is another.
Looking for the other features of this C2D on the Stage3? Not there.
