Sorry I don't get the joke?!
But I just read that KRONOS castrated his father using a sickle made from "Adamant"!

At first I didn't either.Johannes wrote:Sorry I don't get the joke?!
I thought that it was perhaps a mad max, Mel Gibson, beyond thunderdome reference.
Then I google'd Adam ant, wow what an obscure reference

Re: Nord C2D press release and pics
found another shop in UK offering Nord C2D: http://www.mveducation.com/invt/93774/
they plan to sell it for £2,165.83 which is about $3374. That sounds reasonable.
PS I doubt Clavia would try to sell it for $4500. Everyone would go with Hammond SK2 then.

"they plan to sell it for £2,165.83 which is about $3374."
All I can say is: Clavia must have a great deal of faith in their (brilliant) "drawbutton" system if they think anybody will still buy the C2 at the same price as a C2D?
Or does the C2 exist now as a "loss leader"? 'Look' says Joe musical-instrument dealer,' Why buy this C2 with the phony drawbars, when I can sell you this quadruple-real-drawbar C2D for the same price, or just a couple hundred more?' Maybe we should call it "Catch C2D"
Goodbye, C2, it's been nice knowing you. It's been good, but time marches, or even waltzes, or sometimes shuffles or two-steps, on. Don't worry, we'll still be friends. I'll never forget you, ever! You'll like it here in the back of the closet, it's peaceful. Hello? Guitar Center? Give me the keyboard department, I want to place a special order...'
Naturally, you buy one at your own risk. On another thread, I detailed the various health problems associated with draw-bar use. Oh well, maybe Clavia is invested in a worldwide chain of physical re-hab and psychological counseling services. It's just business, you know.
Well, as for me, I'll stick with the draw-buttons. They're much healthier, and after a couple of drinks I see double, anyway. And where can you put a glass on that tilted panel all covered with sliders?

Re: Nord C2D press release and pics
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but the C2D appears to only be a hammond emulator. Where is the other stuff?
I'd expect a C3 along shortly with more bells and whistles and this one to develop more into a hardcore hammond substitute.
I reckon the C3 will have access to the sample library. I'd like a C2, but I know if I buy one, a C3 will come out with the mellotron organs and the harmoniums.

Ok, you're forgiven.jazzystu wrote:Forgive me if I'm wrong, but the C2D appears to only be a hammond emulator. Where is the other stuff?
The C2D also does Vox, Farfisa, and Baroque Pipe Organ.
Not so much just a Hammond emulator.
Sure, I would have liked to see an Electro 3 grafted into it for pianos and sample library, but for some reason known only to Clavia, they chose not to.
Cheers, Hanon

Re: Nord C2D press release and pics
I think we'll see an 88HA + 61 two manual superworkstation at some point with everything on it for about £5500 at some point.
At that point, you will see one of my kidneys on ebay.
