The irony is the same keyed in the Kawai is as quiet as a church mouse so must be the 'tinny, Nord casing. Kawais are much better made than Nords and seem to absorb the key 'bottoming' sound much better than Nord. The noise is so bad when playing in a quiet environment, I am considering going back to the Kawai MP11SE even thought the Nord White Grand samples are way better.
I wish I had a solution but there doesn't seem to be one.
All the recordings of the Nord Grand on YouTube are direct thought mixers and interfaces so you never hear the keybed!!!
Lets face it there are very few if any 'honest' reviews on YouTube!
I have made an honest review on youtube for keybed noise for nord stage 3 vs grand

If the YT I'm thinking of to me the volume of the keybeds were about the same, the difference was the NG had more bottom end to the key strikes. Neither one to me seemed like something that was hard enough to generate noise thru walls or floors to drive a neighbor crazy. There has to be something else going on we're not being told like a lead foot tapping time, gear actually touch wall, floor with no carpet heavy handed keyboardist, speakers are being used not headphones and they are touching walls or loud late at night. Rear ported speakers and lots of bass shaking the walls (that one I've been guilty of).
Thanks for the video it was informative.
