@AdamStage2 & @solmaster,
Thank you both for your comments.
Here are the facts of the matter in hand. I had dealt initially with gear 4 Music where 3 units were problematic and one was stolen (reported to police). I then gave GAK a chance and they caused nothing but problems, so much so I lost all hope. I started searching for registered dealers for Nord, came across this company, now wish I hadn't, because I'm technically and legally trapped.
The equipment was purchased on 04/11/2019. It is now 02/02/2020. I have passed the legal point of a full refund and as such, I have been refused a refund. I have been issued a replacement stage 3 but no replacement nord grand as it was dismissed as a "minor niggle and I could live with it". The matter's closed. If I pursue a fight on this, I'm risking my health. so I'm just accepting the matter as it is and moving on. I went through November dealing with legal matters with our solicitor regarding dad's death, December in and out of hospital, etc, January having to deal with further hospital matters and mum's care. I can't do everything alone, I just can't. I have no one to support me, no other family, no wife / partner, kids, etc, just me and mum. So I can't handle every single matter and a lot of things that need to be done are still waiting to be done. I'm due in hospital again soon and frightened of what's coming. Normally I'm not, but this time, I am.
so, yes folks, avoid Promenade Music like the plague. They have no specialist knowledge when it comes to Pro Audio equipment such as Nord and when it comes to an issue like this, forget it.
There's an expression known as "Box shifters", where companies like PMT, GAK, etc fall in to, they're alright selling in bulk and shifting out, but when it comes to specialist knowledge and customer care, it isn't there, like argos... "the laminated book of dreams." just think, you could one day buy a korg kronos or nord stage from Argos.... Christ no.
Anyway, Busy week this week. Tomorrow off to church to do a repair on some equipment there, tuesday, an organ consultation (paid), Thursday off to London for a hearing with the solicitor, etc (no win no fee) to get justice for my late father, other than that, trying to get on with it all eh.
OK, seems I've had bad luck on the nord front, but in all honesty, haven't had this with other manufacturers, etc, ok other than KRK, but they have inherent faults with switching psu's on standby Gen 1 and gen 2 series) so had 2 pairs of those go back with the same fault, but besides that, everything else has been fine, just these stage 3's and the grand.
I love both to bits. I was at a church service as the organist this morning, had this idea half way through an offertory piece I wanted to try when I got back, switched on the grand, loaded some mellotron samples, transposed a flute down 1 octave with the white grand as the primary voice and found myself playing with this piece for some time. The grand and stage are my babies, they're my tools for work, but also family (yep, get a life, find a young woman and live.... YAWN) but even with the hassle, these instruments provide me with ideas that other instruments haven't in years, other than some of my loved rigs like the Roland D50, etc I'd give anything to find a decent D50 again, close to my heart, reglardless of sampling on a nord, it doesn't do the real thing justice.

I wrote a song about brevity,
To introduce some levity,
But I ran out of rhymes for brevity,
So it's a short song.

Brevity and levity:CountFosco wrote:I wrote a song about brevity,

Both can claim longevity.
Their opposites - as you can see
Must surely bring some penalty.

This recent turn
For greater levity
'S a welcome break
From the web's depravity

Oh, how sugary and sweet:
Greater levity!
Let us hope we do not get
Dental cavities...

Hear hear for gravity.
Hold the depravity.
If we are to have it we
must choose to have a tea.

Serendipity,
we look for equity
but the good comes casually
and the bad does similarly,
so let's take it quietly
to keep us shiny
