I agree with Alex. I have the same situation, but even worse, because I use the external sections, and everytime you scroll the songlist, the program-change, bank select ... are transmitted as well (two expanders). (just because I´m searching a special soundpatch for that song)
A few weeks ago I reported this to nord an I´m still waiting for an update.
In the meanwhile I have a solution: I use the notebook with the nord sound manager and go to sound or song while I´m playing. I can type the name of the searching song/sound and in case I need it, just hit the button. That´s it.
Cheers
Helmuth

This thread has been running for over fourteen months. There have been what, three? updates since then. I can't understand why this hasn't been sorted by now.
If there is some technical reason why it can't be done, maybe Pablo could find out, and let us know? At least then we could possibly make the decision to either switch to the Kronos, or to try and do a work around with Setlist Maker, or something similar.

What’s wrong with list view in song mode?

A lot of us play gigs without pre-arranged (or with rapidly evolving) set lists. Also, being able to make a decision on the fly to line up a sound for a solo or during a jam and switching to it seamlessly is a useful thing.
It can be worked around in planning with song mode a lot of the time, and with the numerical program access, you get instant access to 25 patches, but you’re still missing the ability to browse and look for something as you play if you haven’t planned for it and don’t know the exact program number.
This is probably not a make-it-or-break-it feature for anyone, but it can be very useful in some situations.

Ah, I see. But with the ability to hold a chord, scroll through the soundbank without it cutting your sound, and then jump into the new sound, the need for this is effectively eliminated, right?

No! Pending Load allows you to not only HOLD a chord while browsing to somewhere else but to KEEP PLAYING the old sound before finally switching to the new one once you’ve found it.
Life with my NS3 would be so much easier with it...
