Bringing this thread back into the picture. I notice when the S6 3D was released it said
>A multi-microphone recorded version of the Royal Grand will be available winter 2017.<
Any news on when this might land?

Hi kirsty, nobody really knows the release dates and plans other than Clavia, and they do not tell.
Best thing to avoid unhelpful messages like the above is to keep checking the nordkeyboards.com site.
I am also looking forward that piano sample!

That was almost a year ago, and they pulled that text pretty quickly. They've clearly changed their minds, tt's not happening. As in ... never.

Thanks, i was looking forward to the sample too and just wondered if anyone had got any wind of more info from anywhere.
If the answer is indeed never, hopefully they may give us an XL Steinway D or the CFX instead sometime

Gambold, can I ask your thoughts on the Steinways from the Library. I find myself switching between them as i hear things in all that I like at times
I find the Lady D appears the strongest, with the most sustain and power, but the low octave sounds a bit strange somehow.
Concert Close sounds quite authentic but has much less body than Lady D
Ambient sounds very authentic in the lower octaves, then goes strange and chirpy (and unusable) in the mid to uppers

Hi Kirsty,
Just realized that the pink stuff you have behind you is just a cushion....I had always thought that you were wearing a big dress like the old ones in the 16/17th century and I had thought that it was really nice on your picture because it was looking like a Chopin or Litz concertist ....Ok, maybe I was too much into classic to imagine that...
