You are correct. It is a Mark V, my bad. (Still don't know what to make of all that chorus - but I guess is does make for a nice change in sound when he switches from it to the grand)
Still sorry they give up on such great instruments in favor of crappy Yamaha sounds

We want a new 30 MB Rhodes MK1, Wurly, Clavinet... Our old Mk1 is so thin. I used to play on 2 real fender rhodes mk1, but i don't use the Mk1 on my nordpiano, it's a shame.

I agree with the first post: a HIGH QUALITY mono piano patch would be extremely useful for playing in larger venues with a mono PA. Converting the stereo piano samples to mono using the Nord Piano 88's "Mono" switch does not work well.

I also would like Clavia to provide some high quality mono piano samples for those frequent occasions where there is only a mono PA system. So far, my experience using the onboard "mono" function has resulted in muddied, unsatisfactory sounds, at least through headphones plugged directly into the Piano 88 or my mixer. Maybe I'm doing something wrong: should both piano outputs be hooked into a mixer when using the mono function?
Nord's next Nord Piano Library addition??

I just got my NP88 and feeling out the factory sounds. I am just playing it at home so I really don't know whether playing live with a PA system. In the factory set, I like the Lady D grand the most.
For EP though I was surprised to find no Yamaha DX/FM type EP. I wish Clavia/Nord will provide this in the next library addition. As I said I'm new to this so if there is already one in the library, please let me know.
I would also like to have a piano plus string pad and a EP plus string pad sound. This comes in very handy to enhance vocal accompaniment.

I would like a grand piano with a lot of presence for live work. For me the best live sounds are the uprights, they seem to cut through better in band situations with echoey acoustics. The present collection of grands just don't sound 'big enough' live, even with mid range tweaking, at best a distant, hollow sound. The Eps seem to suffer the same, in fact the Eps on my nord electro 2 are better live, although not as realistic in some ways. How about releasing these sounds for the NP 88? I love the feel of the keyboard, however, & in very dry environments all the piano samples work better.

So I thought I'd email Clavia on their website, ask about a new Rhodes. I got an answer in less than 24 hours saying that while they do not talk about future updates and products, they still wanted me to know that my feedback is appreciated.
So props for them for responding and if this doesn't reassure us of the fact that we're in good hands, I don't know what will

How do you know that it isn't just an automatic reply? I have had exactly same answer(s) to my comments.
Just kidding. I have a strong feeling that they really pay attention and do best to improve these products. In fact my prayers have been answered and in fact quite fast. I reported about the problems with NS2 v1.30 OS and most of them were fixed with newest update. Very good customer support.
What is perhaps little strange that they are so much concentrated to these vintage sounds like Mellotrons and resently Optigan and Orchestron. While those are maybe interesting to some people, I'd guess that most of us would more like to have basic sounds like more e-pianos or some more modern stuff like supersaw synths...
(Oops, sorry I am a little off-topic here: I just noticed that we are on the Nord Piano forum and I am talking about Sample Library stuff....)
