And I still don't understand the unison on the NL3, which Clavia stated addded five voices per key, without reducing polyphony, which would mean a maximum of 24 x 5 voices = 120 voices!
Maybe THAT was some kind of chorus.
Especially since they call it TRUE unison in the NL4.

In the NS2, if I recall correct, the unison modes do not reduce polyphony.
Yes, could be done with a delay line modulated with a LFO, but who knows maybe it is easier to implement this in a different way with a DSP.

A quick question, I see the keyboard version has no aftertouch...is the rack version capable of responding to aftertouch?
Thanks

I think this keyboard is a bit overrated. And seeing the price-tag I would look somewhere else, even though I am a big Clavia fan, and love their stuff, I wouldn't buy the Nord 4. I just can't believe they didn't insert Aftertouch too!
If they made a more compact sized version and reduce their price, I would consider it.

In what way is it overrated?

Update wishes :
Program change only changes programs and NOT performances. Bug to fix.
Midi channel of each slot can only receive, not send. And update would be great.
I'd like To have an Hold mode for the variations. Actualy, pushing 2 buttons can hold the actual variation, but if I select another variation, the Hold stops. Globaly, it would be nice to have a Caps lock button on futur Nord products...
Need possibility to replace the original program by one of these variation, if I only use the variation ! I often work on a variation, and at the end, I prefer it to the original sound, but I can't just replace it by copy/paste fonction.
Possibilty to save the delay mode in the Performance (it's actually a system choice, global). Sometimes I need the analog one, sometimes the digital one. This limitation exists on all the Nord products and I don't understand why !
The same thing for the modulation frequency.
Possibility to see the actual value of an item (like the "show" button of the Prophet 12).
I'd prefer a more progressive crush effect. This one is not a lot musical, the sound is very fast destroyed. Try the P12 crush to understand what I say. With P12, you can do beautifull crush pad, but on NL4, the crush is only good to do FX or mono sounds.

I agree 100% about the delay style being saved per program. I wrote and requested the same thing. Good idea about the vibrato amount, this should def be a per program thing.

Possibility to use variations like destination of LFO modulation would be great.
