Ok 3300 has both 11 and 8! Perfect as i also have à sk2 (8 pin) and planning to buy à nord c2d (11 pin).

Cant decide if to buy à new 3300 or àn used 3300w including hardcase with wheels. Same price. But used.

Was there something wrong with the earliest 3300? I have read about that at some forum back in time.

Octopus,

I bought a Leslie 3300 in December 2010. After about four months of regular use, it developed an annoying shrillness whenever i played the right note combination (including an f# in one of the higher octaves)

I took it to my keyboard repair shop and he replaced the defective high frequency driver. Since Hammond has a 90 days parts and labor/1 year parts warranty, I just had to pay for an hour of labor, and the Leslie has been perfect ever since.

Would recommend you buy new, so you get a warranty. I believe a road case would be pretty useless- the 3300 itself is pretty much built like a road case. In my opinion it's worth the money I paid new. Even though it was pretty annoying to try to figure out the driver problem.

As far as I know, the 3300 comes only in black vinyl, and the finished-wood Hammond-Suzuki Leslies won't have the same type of case, nor will they have the wheels and handles. And finished-wood Leslies look so sad when they're all scratched and dinged from gigging.
Sorta sad, actually. Just a few years ago, there was a choice of Motion Sound, Speak-Easy, and Hammond Suzuki. There was a variety of pacakges/choices. Now Hammond Suzuki Leslie owns the rotary horn market again, for what it's worth.
