When I asked for the second set of replacement fader caps for my NW2, Clavia techs assured me that this issue was now fully fixed.

Having sliders for the volume of each section doesn't seem like an advantage though. We complained the S3 had less LED encoders than the S2. In this sense, they went one step back again, because the level of each section for any given program won't match the position of the sliders. At least they have LEDs like the drawbars do though.

By the way I do hope it's a tentative picture because they messed up the color of the drawbars!!!

With the stage 3, one of my biggest difficulties is having to switch to Panel B while playing in order to quickly switch off the piano and switch on the synth — while playing the organ.
Eliminating the panels and having everything available at first glance should be very helpful.

Hahaha I didn’t even notice! 7&8 are switched, heh.

We have the LED strips for immediate visualization of presets, and the faders for live manipulation of levels.
Exactly like the LED-assisted drawbars which we've requested for ages.
Best of both worlds, I can't find any disadvantage with this solution.
Like analogika says, it seems like a much better solution than having to switch panels every time.

I‘d say 6th and 7th, if mine is correct.
Cheers

Don't you get "parameter jump" with drawbars though?
Or maybe you move the drawbars to match the LED points before they then takeover?

I was going to reply to Spider but you were quicker!
That's exactly the point. It's better than no LEDs at all, but you will have your values jumping when you touch it, like it is now on the S3 for all the non-LED knobs. Unless they allow for selection, whether "value jump" or "catch up". Some synths allow that. It would be the first time for Nord to implement that though. Shouldn't be too complex anyway, it could be done with a firmware upgrade.
For drawbars it's a different matter, since the haptics have the priority there and should come first no matter what. I see the addition of LEDs there as a nice thing to have, but this is a case where you need the physicality of sliders.
