As for my self i am better sound engineer than i am piano player.. i am also proffesional bouzouki player and singer.. so the piano and nord instruments is something new to my life that i wanted it from years ago but i didnt had time to start learning.. buying my nord stage 3 was the first big motivation i was saying to my self that .. wake up and dont be an idiot you have an awesome and best instrument in the world you must learn to play it .. it will be complete idiot if you dont learn play some songs… i managed in 10 months to be able to start gigging alone piano and singing for 2 hours maybe 3 hours non stop. This became more motivation then i wanted to try better keybed and i bought grand which i loved the action and feeling of the keybed but i didnt like much the quality of it..
At the end because i have a sound and lights rental company i care a lot if a new instrument come or not because the market goes up and down depending the new or old model etc… which means i am small reseller dealer in my country for nord keyboards so in case a new one comes for example stage 3 ex my main stage 3 will lose a bit of price.. so i look it from the view of investment also like a small music shop..
I hope you understand my meaning
Thank you for taking the time to explain you thoughts. I understand the motivation to speculate new releases. I did the same thing 3 years age when I was buying a Stage 3. Here is why these threads are irritating to those who spend time on the forum:
1. There are already a massive number of similar posts. At least 2 new threads are created every month. This will only make it harder to find actually useful information from the forum.
2. No one knows. That is always the answer, unless Nord has announced a new release.
And again. No hard feelings. I also started lots unnecessary threads when I was trying to wrap my head around the massive amount of choices, and the fact that it all might change with one new release.
I understand your meaning.. but again its just around 6 topics about new stage 3 ex or 4 and around 4 or 5 topics for electro 7..
I dont think that this is so big problem for the forum.. and since people are starting discussions in these topics i guess these people are part of this community so they have every right to discuss again and again about the same thing.. so if some person for e.g me or you dont like this we should just not enter and no comment in this topic
It's nice to see your enthousiasm towards the Nord products. I like that. And I also feel quite inspired by my Stage 3 like you seem to do. There are people around with much more critical attitude.
I don't find it really fair to just speculate in the public about what instrument might be the next new Nord product, though. There may be people looking around for information about exactly that development who can't judge what someone talking about the future might have as a base for his/her opinions. That's why I thought I should say something after you started multiple notes saying "I believe this or that is the next model coming up." But as I did say it, I'll be finished for now.
Thanks for taking your time to explain!

The most sure thing is that we all love the same thing here..
I believe the only wrong thing is that the topics made in wrong forum.. i mean stage 3 ex topic shouldnt be in stage 3 forums and should be in general or in some forum that is just discussions about marketing moves of companys etc etc

Of course I understand perfectly the reasoning behind wanting to know — I myself waited until the moment the Stage 3 came out and bought one immediately (though I loved my Stage 2, but I’d promised myself that I’d replace it immediately if they brought out a version with Drawbars).
Unfortunately, nobody outside the forty people who work at Nord and a handful of beta testers and preset programmers know anything about unreleased products. And the subject literally does come up pretty much every single week — though the forum search engine is rather good.
I personally love sarcasm ! and sometimes is truly needed.

Its almost a year since the introduction of Nord Piano 5 and nsmp v4. Either it is a complex task to adapt to current products like the NS3 or it is considered as a sales argument for a NS4.

I'm guessing the both. A Stage 3is deigned to create and use specific types of files, and tailored for specific DSP applications. Adding a new kind of vibrato for samples (or whatever is new on nsmp v4) would require at least a large software redesign, but possibly also a hardware update.

Considering the global chip crisis and now the ukraine war, for Nord it would be a lot more beneficial to focus on the "software side" of things rather than a new hardware.
I am not a Nord engineer (or any kind of that matter) but I think it would definitely be possible to have a massive software update on the NS3. Including new a format, function improvements and more bug fixes. Focusing on quality, more detailed piano and other samples could bring the NS3 to a next level.
On the other hand 480 Mb memory in sample library is not much in 2022 especially if the new sample format requires a bigger size. But Nord is in a tough spot for sure regarding these decisions...

From a business perspective I rather think they focus on developing new products than doing massive upgrades for a five year old hardware. How should they capitalize on upgrading a large existing base of Nord Stage 3, paid or licensing firmware/OS? I don’t think there ever will be a NS3 EX in their traditional way by simply add some more memory. Guess for a NS4 with enhanced hardware specs, new organ engine and updated sample format. But I may be totally wrong….
