Yes, from around 2006 all (Intel) Macs have been 64 bit capable. In the context of this discussion, isn't that also around the date where the (last) Win XP SP3 was rolled out

But obviously, you are right -- and I don't personally know anyone that runs such old Macs any longer (even if there could be some here that has an old Mac sitting around for some reason).

I also don't personally know anyone running XP either. I stopped using my last WinXP in a VM some 3 years ago. But some do, I can see.

The only reason to be running auch ancient systems is specifically to run support software that isn’t available for newer systems.

If not satisfied with AP/EP sounds, buy some NP Monitors.

Nobody suggested that, neither here in this thread nor elsewhere that I've seen on this forum.

There are a lot of machines out there running a Windows 7 32-bit OS.

Yep, I am such one. The Headline of this post - ... not on 32 bit system ... - has therefore made me afraid of what's going to happen. I have windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit, have a few minutes ago updated Soundmanager to version 7.42, then updated my NE 5D to OS 2.00, then loaded the 6.0 versions of Nefertiti and some others, and finally played them. All worked fine, no problems, excellent sound feel. Looking forward to my rockband's rehearsal this evening. Sunny regards from Germany

Hello XP colleagues,
It seems that 7.42 run on XP Professional but not XP Family.
Does the 7.40 always 32-bit (nobody complained about the 7.40) ?
Since the new OS for NS2(EX), NE5 and NP3, just to allow the new EP V.6, did anyone try NSM V.7.40 to download them?

Which is weird, because Mr G's XP Media Center Edition is supposed to be XP Professional "under the covers" (with specific enhancements).
