I had that happen last night - turned all of the knobs, tried different patches, restarted a few times, started panicing that I'd broken my Stage. Turns out that my swell pedal was sitting at minimum... :facepalm: At least it was an easy fix for me.

That was also my first thought when I read @lbkeys question. Sounds an awful lot like the volume pedal was set at minimum ;) Of course, if there isn't any pedal attached, then it could be something else (like an incorrectly plugged in sustain pedal or something -- or of course a weird bug).
