Please bring back "pending load" mode on the NS3

Yes, if we're talking about Set List Maker, I believe it's available for Android as well. And it doesn't have to be a tablet, I believe It will run on on an iPhone or an iPad Touch as well.

Agree on this one, a lot of people push me to go all computer but I don't want to do that and it's a lot of connections as well...And I really don't feel "playing a computer..." (And you will still need one board minimum as well to play it...).

Ok, great, I understand, I saw a band one time and they were doing all the Doos vocally for "Uptown Funk", themselves and it was souding very good but the Female Singers, two, were very good (Vocal teachers, hired regularly for musical comedy or back vocals for Pro bands so, that was doing well/cool with them...For us, we don't have the same level on vocals so, it's up to me to compensate...
"but I manage with just the 20 or so basics for 98% of it": Awesome, maybe I should have tried this way before jumping immediately to custom sounds for each songs but my last experience with wedding bands was in 1986/1988 when I just had a Crumar Multiman "S" and a basic Synth Piano that when I saw what you could do now with a board like the Stage, I jumped on it...
"if my goal was to nail each sound and call up everything by song, I'd be inclined to use a Kronos if possible": I had tried the Kronos when I bought my Stage 2 and after few minutes, I was so lost and understood how Steep the learning curve would be that I didn't go any further...

Yes, it runs on a basic iphone too, I used it few times...

As a conclusion for me, you know what, I will try the Anotherscott approach (20 basic sounds) and the Marko Approach (Pending load), maybe I will end up spending less time into programming and/or bring some more creativity in my way to use my Stage 2...But I agree, I'm still worried about the issues with the pending load and the Dual KB and other bugs that are currenlty in the Stage 3.

That's a good point. While I do find the ability to do stuff on-the-fly to be a Nord strength, also the programming for the times you DO need to set stuff up in advance--particularly in terms of tweaking the sounds rather than just selecting from presets--is another Nord strength. You're right, assembling/customizing sounds for future recall--within the limits of what the Nord does--is easier on the Nord than the Kronos, by far.

I'd say it's definitely worth a shot. It's not either-or, you can use each approach where it makes sense. Some things you really want to nail, but I think for a lot of stuff, close enough is close enough.

That's exactly what my new band (pure dance/Party band told me today: I was asking if my sledgehammer sounds or Brass in I feel good needed a bit more tweaking and they said, "No, no need at all, it's sounds awesome and anyway, there isn't a band that could play them perfectly because they don't have any key player (Hunders of rock band in Winnipeg, very few with keys...). So, my not so close enough was a super/extra close enough for our public if they compare to what they usually hear...

yes, hoping this feature is restored to the series (NS3)...now that the organ is working better I have renewed interest in trying to get this thing on stage as I had originally intended.
