Re: Nord Stage 3
Curious to know about NS2ex programs-> Can be imported on the NS3?
Or will we need to re-program everything?

@ JoniKlein
He sais: "I will be tomorrow at Musicmess, nothing you want me to check?"
YES, Absolutely, you can check for me, Stage 3 HA same as Piano 3, if no, differences?
Then, Kawai MP11 and PVC1, all with in mind difficult and fast classical piano pieces. Real difference with Nord satge 3 and which kawai you prefer?
Thanks in Advance
Sincerely

Re: Nord Stage 3
1.) Please check how seamless the transitions are.JoniKlein wrote:I'll be at Musikmesse tomorrow... Anything specific I should check for you guys?
2.) And as the four BANK Buttons are missing now and the former PAGE buttons are now labeled BANK - how easy is it now (how many keystrokes needed?) to access sounds (without using the new SONG feature).
3.) What exactly is meant by "Creative Filter presets" und "Layer category" - the new features of the piano section?
Tausend Dank schonmal, Grüße, Alex

Re: Nord Stage 3
From the demo you posted, it seems like it's a feature similar to MainStage's, where a section can "spill over" into the neighboring one if you overshoot, without having to reprogram the splits.AlexNagel wrote:1.) Good questions. The layer category intrigues me.
I'd also like to hear more about what these "extended morph destinations" include.
The Nord giveth; the Nord taketh away…
"The Angels of Libra are in the European vanguard of the [retro soul] movement“ (Bill Buckley, Soul and Jazz and Funk)
The Drawbars — off jazz organ trio

Re: Nord Stage 3
Considering that this has never been possible across generations, and that the new board has a different effects structure and morph matrix, as well as completely different synth engine and a new piano category...LudovicVDP wrote:Curious to know about NS2ex programs-> Can be imported on the NS3?

Re: Nord Stage 3
Some more questions for Joni (thanks!):
In the organ section, does the percussion button finally trigger percussion when you engage it while already holding down some keys? (There might be a system setting for this.)
Does the stage 3 organ finally have an option to mute the topmost drawbar when percussion is engaged?

Re: Nord Stage 3
Not quite my understanding, you're mixing things up here: What the video shows is "Extended Split functionality with optional Crossfade", which is indeed similar to Mainstage's split "spill over" (what do they call it really?) feature.analogika wrote:From the demo you posted, it seems like it's a feature similar to MainStage's, where a section can "spill over" into the neighboring one if you overshoot, without having to reprogram the splits.AlexNagel wrote:1.) However "Seamless transitions when changing programs" should be exactly what they called it

Hello,JoniKlein wrote:I'll be at Musikmesse tomorrow... Anything specific I should check for you guys?
Thank you for asking

I wonder if, among the Piano Filters, there is some filters that would make piano sounds EQ less "acid", feeling less medium and medium high - boosted, especially in the octaves around C5 ?
Thanks again
Alex

Just out of interest: Why would you need this feature?analogika wrote:In the organ section, does the percussion button finally trigger percussion when you engage it while already holding down some keys? (There might be a system setting for this.)
