When using a multi keyboard set-up it's important for continuity to be able to move one's hands to another keyboard without a break in sound. It seems stupid not to be able to do this on a modern keyboard regardless of whether this was possible or not on a B3 for instance.

Thanks :keyboard:
I may not be understanding your first concern about the sustain pedal - the NS2 does have the ability to assign sustain pedal on/off for each one of the sounds (organ, piano, synth).

ndaustin,

perhaps you misunderstand -- this forum is not affiliated with Nord in any way, shape or form. It is a public gathering place created by Johannes for Nord enthusiasts worldwide. This particular thread, and others like it, is an outlet for people to express their opinions, but this is not a direct request line to the people who design and build these instruments.

And, as ericL correctly pointed out, the sustain pedal IS assignable independently as to all instrument sections, Organ/Piano/Synth/External A&B.

There are many who will agree with you on the issue of PB range, myself included, but it is silly to suggest that Nord abandon use if their signature pitch stick design that they've been using for 20+ years. That is really not going to happen. Ever. Note, this is only a guess on my part, but I'd bet the house on it.

Bless, Pablo

I suppose you know the "dtn" function of the 2nd oscillator?

I know it's been mentioned before, but I would request to PLEASE add a midi thru port. A lot of people (me included) control this keyboard with another "master" keyboard and it would be very helpful to have the ability to control a 3rd keyboard via a midi thru port on the Stage.

I would like to have the following features on the NS2EX -

1. At least 4 slots for the Synth samples
2. Bigger display and a set list mode like Korg Kronos.
3. True draw bars on the organ section like Electro

I hate to carry a laptop or iPad and even a second synth module with me. I would love an all in one keyboard.

Thanks
-Swarup

There is nothing more awkward than a real piano player/synth bass trying to play a 73 or 76 note keyboard with E for the low bass note, what guitar idiot decided this is what the low note on a more portable piano should be??? transposing either end just makes it worse! piano players need those lower notes---- C to C= 73 note is perfect, and intelligent transposing would now work as well, wow! imagine that!
Nord, please have the balls to consider/implement a change in what a 73 note board SHOULD be.

I am just making a decision to buy a new stage piano. I am making decision between KURZWEIL FORTE or NORD STAXE 2 EX88. Are here any users who played them both and share the pros and cons of each?
