I was rather hoping that star ratings would be a better metric for a user to use, but it requires other users to rate the sounds!
I could potentially do more work to log the number of downloads, but I'd prefer to see the star ratngs feature being used a bit more.

I agree, I wish more folks would rate what they've downloaded; knowing the number of downloads would be really helpful too. On its own, the number of downloads is helpful if an audio file is included with the sample; without an audio file there could be a lot of downloads but that doesn't mean it's good...just popular. For my own programs/samples posted in the Forum, I look at the number of times a post has been viewed and audio listened to versus program/sample downloads; if it's been looked at 1000 times but program/sample downloaded 10 times, I know it has missed its mark - it's either not good, or the "market"/popularity for it isn't there.

Hello, I hope all is well. With each file posted on the Nord User Sounds site, is it possible to add the number of times the file has been downloaded?

As first users are uploading their Stage 4 patches to nordusersounds.com, please add new categories and types for Stage 4 to the user forum site. Thanks!

Martin meant nordusersounds.com, not norduserforum.com. Maybe, the tag (Type) 'Stage 4' is really missing for the moment.

Is this thread about nord_sample_collection.php ?

If so, please edit the first post if possible and add that link. If not, please add a link to wherever it actually is!

Also, please add that link to the Github README.

Finally, please add somewhere what Nord users who have samples should do to get on the list. Someplace that's easy to find without scrubbing the forum.

Alternatively, these high level pointers to resources could be added as a new sticky thread or announcement.

I'm an experienced software engineer and sound designer; I'm familiar with Github and coding in general, but without investigation I can't answer these questions, so I imagine it's even harder for the typical Nord user.

I am told to use a user activation code from NUF but it's blank. Searching this forum, it appears that this is no longer valid (as of two years ago.) Please consider updating the instructions at nordusersounds.com (both in the pre-login home page, and in https://nordusersounds.com/register.)

Nice, but where can I find the .nsmp or nsmp2 files for my NW1? The search function does not give any hits.

Well, hmmm........ how do I find nsmp2 samples on the nordusersounds.com page? All I see are nsmp3 files.

"NSMP 2" refers to the format for the Nord Sample Library 2. but the files have an extension of "NSMP". In NordUserSounds you can filter on file type "Sample" to see most posted, however some samples might be posted with the programs that use them. If you are looking for samples for specific songs, a search on this site or NordUserSounds works well with simple keywords. Though the other site has quite a few samples posted, in my case at least I have more posted on this Forum as I like the discussion and contributions by other members, and I get a good idea from the number of downloads whether folks found them useful.
