If the reverb is a room simulation, I would want that at the end of the chain to represent the room the Leslie is in, not a room inside of the Leslie.

It would also be nice to have a spring reverb (pre-Leslie) to represent a 122R option. I'm not sure how Nord would do this, but I would think it would be along the lines of adding the 122 Close:
1) Add a hidden SPRING reverb effect
2) Add a Rotary Reverb parameter that would toggle between (or add with level control) the hidden spring reverb pre-Leslie, with the panel reverb changed to post-Leslie.
2a1) Hidden spring reverb level controlled by panel reverb Wet/Dry knob (panel reverb disabled)
2a2) Rotary Reverb Level parameter (panel reverb enabled) included with this parameter.
2b) Panel Reverb works as it currently does.

Additional organ related parameters to lobby for - B3 PERC DB9 MUTE and ROTARY BALANCE.

Discaimer - I'm not a software/hardware engineer. Sorry in advance, if my post is technically impossible, too high of a hurdle or not clear.

You're right, but I did.
See the aforementioned sheet.
Every wish/request I have would always be an option, as I'm not in the position to decide for the rest of the world to like my preferences :)
The following statement is not true. The previous statement is true.

I agree with all who said this update provided a big upgrade to the B3 sound!

Sounds a lot more like the 2EX B3 and is much improved IMO. As someone else said, the new B3 has more bite, which to my ear was mysteriously lacking when I 1st played the presets on the Stage 3. Got a bit concerned when it seemed that tweaking it didn't seem to help much.

No longer worried that I made a mistake by switching to the Stage 3!

The Organ sounds super now,
except one thing - the (Leslie) Horn is overemphasised, so I have only one wish:

Additional organ related parameters to lobby for - ROTARY BALANCE.

Having both of them set up in parallel right now as I transfer my final custom patches to the Stage 3, I have to say that the Stage 2 organ is fuller and has more body, but I'm hard-pressed to say which one I like better.

Hello to everybody,
I am a proud and happy owner of a NS Compact 3.
After updating to the new OS 1.32, the value of this instrument is going up 100 % for me.
I´ve been playing Hammond Organs, even a B 3 and I used the VK 8m of Roland and many other things to get a organ sound I like for more than 30 years now.
So I think that I know what I'm talking about.
After I bought the NS 3, I was a bit disappointed. Then I read in the NordUserForum that I am not alone with my opinion.
But now everything is getting so much better!
I want to say thank you to the Nord Staff and to everybody in this Forum for their comments to get this things fixed.
Percussion, Chorus, the Leslie in closed mode and the Vintage 2 mode let this synth sound so good.
I am happy with it. But sure there are some specialists here, to get the things even more better.

@analogika: I'm thinking this may in part also be related to the horn/rotor balance that has been discussed several times above (including @brane's comment above).

Of course the balancer is part of the rotary emulation only and not part of the basic organ tone. But when engaging the rotary to my ears (playing through many different kinds of speakers/monitors), the upper octaves (starting from 2 octaves above middle C) tend to be overemphasised -- at least to my liking -- especially compared to playing the organ without the rotary.

So: Now that you have compared the NS2EX and NS3 organ sounds -- how is it without the rotary effect, and is it still the same difference? Of course they should be different still (the NS3 has the C2D engine, which is not in the NS2EX), but I'm wondering how different they are compared to the difference you describe above?

Good point. So good that I had to check.

Yes, it's the Leslie balance.

Here is a direct comparison of Stage 3 and Stage 2 organs, no Leslie, no EQ, all FX off.

They are both set to "Vintage 1", 888000000.

There is a subtle difference in the higher notes, but they are basically the same thing.

Yes, there should be 2 possibilities: lasslie in the reverb ON or OFF (no rotary effect when keys are released in the reverb), as it is for example in Suzuki XK-1c.

@Analogika & Baekaard:
Ok, so, thanks guys, your comments answer my question about the B3 in the Stage 3 compared to the B3 in my C2, I won't be disappointed with it when I will buy a Stage 3...
