I always struggle when viewing NS2 files and trying to find the rights samples.. how do you get around that? If it's not mentioned by the uploader it's pretty hard to find the right one in a sea of samples. Is there a workaround? Thanks!

Is there a way to convert these for a Stage 3?

Not directly - programs can't be automatically converted between different generations of Nord instruments (even within the same line).
You can use the free
Nord Stage Viewer to identify the settings and samples on the NS2 and try to rebuild them on your NS3.
