Sorry for bad english, I hope you guess what I mean...
ciao Kristian
There is new stuff. You can compare yourself the list of Samples of NS2 "Classic" and EX from their Product Library pages (they are listed at the bottom)
I managed to load all NS2 EX Programs, Samples and Synth into my NS2 then I loaded all pianos in .sml format and remapped the Programs (I only had to give up loading CP80, Black Upright and Honky Tonk, not enough space even using SML for all other pianos, where available).

Do I understand correctly, that the setting "normal" (no LEDs lit) is the hardest setting and with every more LED the velocity gets softer?
Thanks for your help!
Savoy Truffle don't intend a musical revolution but rather to make this world a slightly better place to be – with cleverly arranged, intelligent, stylish and ultimately beautiful pop songs. http://www.savoy-truffle.de
The new normal setting provides maximum dynamic range, making it easier to achieve ppp, but one has to bang harder to get to the full velocity level of 127.
Bless,
Pablo

I'm sincerely happy for those who are enjoying the new velocity curve. For me, it was too late. After struggling with the velocity curves on my NS2 APs for three and a half years I sold it this past April and bought a CP4.
When it comes to "New sounds in EX library" - I tried the Sax-sounds yesterday. They sounded good and was very small compared to the ones I've used before. I've heard better sax-sounds on Yamaha, but nice to get some new one on my Nords.
Takes time to find and try all the new sounds, so nice to hear what others find in the list.

Did the NS2 to NS2EX 'sample-upgrade' yesterday (after a complete backup of course ). Also loaded the NS2EX factory bank programs and synths into my NS2.
As a result I have to re-link the piano's that are not loaded into the NS2.
A lot of the factory bank programs use the Fazioli XL which I have not loaded (that means a lot of mouseclicks).
Is there a way to relink all the programs that for example use the Fazioli to a piano that is loaded?
I know it's possible to relink all the programs that use a loaded piano, but I would like to relink all the programms that use a not-loaded piano (in one click )
Unfortunately there is not a command to automatically relink non loaded pianos, such as "All missing Fazioli XL to Fazioli SML"...
You can do it in one click on multiple programs only if the missing piano is on the same slot for all affected programs
(WARNING: be sure this is the case or you will overwrite valid links)
You have to select all the Programs you want to modify, then Right click the selection (or click the Edit menu) and choose "Relink Piano" and then the Slot A/B to relink.

I'm really liking the new, harder velocity settings. I recorded some classical piano - a Nocturne by Chopin - and really am liking how much smoother and more controllable the quieter dynamics are.
Here's a link to me playing it:
