NO, NO, NO. A THOUSAND times NO! You will not be happy, I guarantee it. As another poster suggested, look at the SpaceStation V3, Traynor K4, or (my own preference after a real Leslie) a pair of quality 12 or 15 in. powered monitors. Ev's are a safe bet. I have a MS Pro 145 with upgraded woofer but don't really care for the sound. Try to listen/compare at the music store if you can. Trust your ears.

Be aware that, if you put the Motif through a Leslie, you will get everything that a Leslie does. This includes it unique voice and coloring, as well as all the Motif voice being subject to the Leslie's swirling rotors. Depending on what sounds you plan on playing on the Motif, this may not be your desired effect.

If you plan on buying the Leslie for the C2D, you still may need another powered speaker for the Motif.

Which powered speaker along with the Leslie would you recommend to run the Motif through?

The qsc K10 is popular.
The rcf art 310 sounds good but only has one input.
The Yamaha dxr10 sounds good & has several inputs with volume control.
The Ev zxa1. Sounds great but is not that loud.
The Ev zlx series are pretty high quality for the money.
I like the Qsc because the 10 inch has a handle on the side.

IMHO EV ZLX makes acoustic pianos sound muddy. EV ELX is a better bet, but slightly more expensive. Line 6 L2T is very good, but even dearer than ELX.

I use Yamaha DXR 10, it is a good all rounder.

I did it!! I ordered it all today. Now the long seems-like-a-million-years wait for it to arrive. In the meantime I can start deciding whicj additional speaker I want for the Yamaha. I think I got away with some great prices. Here it is again (Im so proud!)

Nord C2D $3195
Leslie 3300 $2249
Nord 27 Bass Pedals $1795
Yamaha Motif Xf6 $2195
Nord 1/2 Moon Switch $199.00
Stand $340
Case For Nord C2D $349.99

All that, and a Motif, too? You will need an "11 pin cable" to make the half-moon work with the 3300. Without it, you will have to use a foot-switch to control the Leslie motors.

Yes I found out!!! The moon switch is ordered and on the way. I' played both the Motif and the C2D together in public for the first time yesterday at a church service. I ran it all through a Roland cause the Leslie has not arrived yet. Does the Leslie come with the cable to connect to the C2D?

The cable usually isn't included.

"The cable usually isn't included."

He'll have no trouble connecting the Nord to the 3300 with a reg 1/4 cable, and a simple SPST momentary footswitch will operate all three speeds through another 1/4 inch mono socket (It's not TRS). When the 11-pin cable comes, that's work for everything. And that's one heck of a rig!
