@ NordFan: I didn't even order the NS2, simply went to the store when I spotted availability on the website and picked it up! ;-)

@ pa1bke: lucky bastard!!

Please share your experiences and first impressions with us. I'm really curious how the NS2 works out for you. What sort of bands/settings do you use your NS2 for and what is your gear?

I just received My NS2 SW73 today!!!!!!!!!! I ordered it 4 months ago though :-/, but I'm glad I got it now. It is also Rev.B as the SW73 was only produced in Rev.B
It is great so far, but haven't checked it out much yet.

One thing though is I feel the key-response has changed from the NS1 compact. I think it reacts too much even on the lowest dynamic setting. Has anyone else felt the same, or am I crazy? I would like either a minus dynamic setting or just change the dynamic a bit. Everything els seems great so far. :)

Have fun all.

Congratz Cbas!! Finally you got it!!!

It's not the most satisfying answer but I think you just have to get used to the dynamic feel. However, a minus dynamics would be a nice feature for future OS updates. But first of all, take some time to get the feel of the keys.

Yeah finally!!! Thanks alot :)
You may be right. I might get used to it.
But I'm still curious if there really is a difference between the dynamic seettings on the NS Classic and the NS2. Have you tried both (compact/SW73 preferably)?

Sadly to say that I've not tried both. Only the NS Ex 88 and the NS2 88. In my mind the NS2 felt the best of both. But maybe it's because I played the NS2 recently and the NS Ex already a few months ago.

It's fine :) I was just curious. It seems most people like the NS2 action better for piano. But maybe they changed the dynamics to fit the new NS2 keybed, and it translates a little worse for the semi-weighted. Or maybe I'm just nuts. I've already gotten a bit more used to it today. I borrowed my brothers NSC76 while I waited for the NS2 so maybe I was just used to the weighted keys and have fogotten how it was on my old NSC compact.

Dear friends,
I have the NS2 compact, and by the explanations above I can confirm that it's Rev B.
If I buy the triple pedal, would I be able to use the middle damper for rotor speed and the left damper for sustain for the other slot? How assignable is it?

Thanks a lot,

Dan
