I alreayd tested with the other outputs in Ableton. But this is not possible in the normal Windows enviroment. So listening to for example Soundcloud is not yet possible untill I have my cables. You can route the ins & outs, but I didn't find something for routing the PC audio, or how should I call it?
My former interface, the Focusrite 2i2 used jacks, that's why I didn't have the correct cables. Also the MOTU Ultralite uses jacks, and in first instance I wanted to buy that one, but I came home with the bigger brother.
No worry's. Today new cables will arrive.

Can't you just pick something else for Main Out (page 35 of the manual)?
You might also be able to do it with CueMix FX, but it isn't exactly obvious to me how to do that.

In above image you can choose what to assign to the main-outs. But is was just those XLR cables I didn't have. But no worry, cables came in yesterday so I'm hooked up. In a way, I still have a driver issue. When I close Ableton, I have to restart my PC to get back audio from the MOTU.
Another question to check if I'm working correct. I've hooked up the four outputs from the Nord-Lead to four inputs in the MOTU. Is it normal I have to adjust the "Trims" to +21 in the MOTU to get the audio close to the zero db? Volume of my patches are at maximum in the Nord-Lead.

The cables you're using to connect the Nord to the MOTU, are those balanced (TRS, stereo jack) or unbalanced (TR, mono jack)? If they are balanced (stereo) cables, could you try using an unbalanced (mono) one?
Maybe it is treating the unbalanced, 'consumer' line-level signal (-10 dB) from the Nord as a balanced, 'professional' (+4 dB) signal. This is a problem I had when I connected my Moog Little Phatty to my M-Audio FastTrack Ultra interface which caused really low volumes. Using an unbalanced (mono) cable forces the interface to use it as an unbalanced (consumer) signal.
As for the hanging interface: are you using the ASIO driver, or the WDM one? Also, do you have the WDM one installed? The manual has something about problems with the WDM driver in the trouble shooting section. Unfortunately, removing the WDM driver might mean you cannot use it from 'regular' Windows programs (like your browser, a media player, etc) - I'm not sure about this one though.

I was using both the ASIO in Ableton en yes, WDM for Windows. But I think I solved the hanging problem by switching to Firewire (needed to buy another cable, again, lol) It worked well yesterday.
For the Nord-Lead I use unbalanced (I think) mono Jacks:
I don't have stereo jacks
Now the problems with the interface are solved, I'm gonna dig in the manual to see if there is a setting like you said. Now I have the time.
Thank you again, you are very helpfull.
EDIT: Just saw you are from the Netherlands (Hy there neighbor

), here is the exact link what cable I bought:

Weird. Well, firewall should also give you better performance and allow you to use smaller buffer sizes (= lower latency) without drops. If you hear crackling in the input signal, try increasing the buffer size (i.e. from 128 to 256 or something like that). If the crackling goes away, you were getting dropped samples because the buffer was too small. Potentially you could tune/tweak your computer for optimal audio use, but increasing the buffer size is generally a lot easier.

That sound fine; I use very similar cables. Is there any noticeable noise that gets louder when you increase the trim value? If not, I wouldn't worry about it. Shooting an email to MOTU or something is probably a good idea.

Here are the ones I'm using, from Germany:

I like the sturdy Rean connectors, which is a sub-brand of Neutrik.

I don't hear any noise coming from the NL, so I guess it's ok then. I also searched through the manual but didn't see anything off a setting or something like that. The MOTU does accept unbalanced and balanced jacks as input.
Your cables are a lot cheaper. Next time I will look also a little further, but I bought mine together with the Nord-Lead.
Thx mjbrands, I think I'm all hooked up now. Time to get some sounds out off th Nord-Lead 4R!
