Re: NS2 Wish List: Something missing on the NS2?
I understand why some people would like the option of having sustain and rotor function controlled by the same pedal. But I have to say, I am really glad they included the two-pedal functionality. If you're doing a layer or split of a piano sound and an organ sound, you would not want the rotor speed to change whenever you used the sustain pedal on the piano! Or you might want to use the pedal to sustain a string/pad chord in one zone, while still needing a pedal to manipulate the rotary effect of the organ sound you're playing on top of it. Obviously, this was not an issue on the Electro 3, since you could only play one sound at a time anyway. But as soon as you can split/layer different sounds, separate pedals is a huge advantage.
For people who only play one sound at a time, and bemoan the inability to have the same pedal operate both functions, I wonder if you could use a Y-cable and plug the same pedal into both jacks? That might accomplish the same thing.

Two-pedal functionality was always included in the previous models, but you had a choice if you did not want to use a dedicated pedal plugged in the rotor speed input, then you could use the same one plugged in the sustain input.

I am missing true ADSR envelopes in the synth section. It would not have cost much to add these two missing sustain pots. Are they afraid, that nobody is going to buy the Nord Wave anymore, if they make the NS2´s synth section a proper synth?

Programmable pitch bend range! Sort of a 'duh' feature that's missing.
There must be a reason for the omission... I would love to hear it.

Re: NS2 Wish List: Something missing on the NS2?
THE ORGAN SECTION
When you switched between slow and fast leslie on the old NS the led indicators was flashing slow or fast. On the NS2 the led-light is fixed all the time. I noticed when I played with a band with the NS2 that sometimes you don't know if the leslie is in fast och slow mode. On the old NS you got that info very fast by just having a fast look to the left.
I wish they could make the slow and fast-led pulsating. I don't know if someone else see the point in this?

Re: NS2 Wish List: Something missing on the NS2?
It would be cool to have the rotary led flashing, but there are two different leds for slow/fast, right? What I would definitely like is if the lfo led would flash at the lfo speed.
But I would prefer if they fix the current bugs first! I hate it that the Dual KB doesn't work in split mode, that the MIDI instrument channels are not there and that the Extern section doesn't send Program Changes properly. This makes my NS2 practically useless as a master keyboard...

Re: NS2 Wish List: Something missing on the NS2?
Hi Bertpeeters
Yeah... I have also find some bugs as I got my keyboard a 2 weeks ago. I had a mail conversation with Clavias product manager about some of them and they work fully to get an software update out pretty soon as I understand it. They seem to be aware of every problems.
The bugs I found were when I run the keyboard in "local off" mode with a computer. Some of the problems were midi-controll related. We can hope they fix this in the next OS. / TJ

Re: NS2 Wish List: Something missing on the NS2?
Yes, I got the same answer from Clavia for each of these problems. Another small bug is that pressing shift + turning a knob should display the programmed value while not changing it. This doesn't work. The rest of the bugs so far all seem to be MIDI related.
Since they seem to be aware of each problem already, I suggested they publish a list of known issues, so we can check. Maybe we should start one in this forum.

+1 on a thread with known issues of the NS2 (unfortunately I dont have one...yet ;-) But go ahead, lucky folks !!
And nice to hear the Shift+Turn feature to show the value got implemented into the NS2! Would be GREAT to get this as an OS update also for the Classic/EX!!!
