Hi,

so I rerecorded the SLOW setting, now with Percussion ON (Fast Decay, 3rd Harmonic).
I also set an alternative Sample Start point so that using "Skip Samp Atk" givey you the possibility to play the sample without attack.
One caveat though: The percussion will ALWAYS sound not like on a real thing only when no key is pressed before playing a note.
Here is how it sounds (with and without attack):

For some reason, I missed your last post until now, Johannes. Thank you so much for this new sample!! I have loaded it right away into my keyboard.

Best regards!

Hello Johannes:

It has been some time since you provided us with these great samples. I have been using them for 100% of the gigs where I needed Hammond sounds and they have worked great! Everybody has been happy with my Hammond sounds.

However, I have a little issue with the sounds and it's that the volume level of them is quite low compared to other sounds in my |Nord and this is an issue when I switch from one instrument to another. I have been creating presets with my piano sounds reducing their volume as much as -18 db in order to align them to the organ level, but at this point this is causing some issues due to low output power from the keyboard. Do you still have your source files for the Nord Sample Editor? Or maybe your original Wav files? If you still have them, I would really like to get them so that I can find the way to edit the sound and increase the volume so that I avoid all these issues.

If you don't have them, don't worry, I'll survive with what I have.

Thank you in any case for your help!

@parencibia: here you go http://www.norduserforum.com/manual_upl ... _Files.zip
I intentionally recorded rather at low volumes, particularly since it changes over the octaves. But normalizing and just recreating the smp file could help, should be done in 1min.
In case it adds too much noise, one would have to re record and redco the sample completely including all loop points etc.
Hope it helps!
Cheers
Johannes

@Johannes: Thank you Johannes!! I agree this shouldn't be difficult and I understood the process you suggest. I think I'll find my way through it!!
Your samples are being heard at a few gigs here already :-)

@Johannes: quick update: I tried normalizing the Wav files re-reading them from the Sample Editor and re-generating the sound files but it didn't work. I guess I was missing some extra step to make the program aware of the new files. However, inside Sound Editor I found that I could make an overall gain to the resulting sound file from the instrument tab, and I did just that. I increased 8 db and now it's much better! There was a normalize option inside the Sample Editor but I didn't want to use that one in order to preserve the natural dynamics of your samples, so the overall gain did the job perfectly.

Thank you!!

I can create and sell different sets of great Hammond XK-1c (brother of B3) samples to Nord Piano 2 (nsmp format), sounding very close to the original. Before purchase I can send you free trial samples (some keys switched-off) so you could check the quality and so we could discuss and prepare exactly the kind of sound you want (drawbar, Leslie, chorus settings etc.). If you are interested please contact me: https://www.facebook.com/Hammond-Sample ... 148429044/

Hi:

Thanks for the offer. At the moment, I am kind of "ok" with the samples I have. I might even change my Nord keyboard so I am not interested in investing now on this. I'll get back to you if I need more samples. Thanks!
