But… I would like to suggest an option if possible. To be able to synchronize our setlists with iCloud. Because sometimes we can use the iPhone as we can also use the iPad.

Thanks.
Nice idea. Will put this in the next update.

Thinking about a solution for this and the safest is to let users download a file from my website (so the presets name is not in the app). And load all factory presets from this file. Then the app doesn´t violate anything just giving users a method to load "their own" user presets and those happen to be factory presets.

+1 for iCloud sync - I also use multiple devices, and having to save and load backup files is not very convenient, because if you forget it you don’t have it with you.

About patch names import:
Everything that includes factory program/preset names does not make a lot of sense.
If you use your Stage 4 (or 2 / 3) for gigs, bands, you won’t have a lot of those left and they will be replaced by custom preset names.
I myself delete most of the factory programs, and create my own, I also test the piano/organ/synth presets and delete those I don‘t need.

Nord Sound Manager does have a „export sound list“ functionality that creates (up-to-date) HTML lists of all program/preset categories in your Stage 4.
Maybe you can find a way to import those??

This way there wouldn’t be any manual renaming of programs/pressts..

You should be able to use the app description to reference products that your app supports, including brand names. Check out the listing for the Mixing Station app. It references specific products from Behringer, Midas, A&H, PreSonus, Soundcraft, Macie, Yamaha, and TASCAM.

I made a update with icloud support for setlist and also factory preset import through file (I made a json fila that I can put on my website that will populate all factory presets). Dont have my nord at the house at the moment so if anyone want to test this version before I push the update to the public it would be great. Plz let me know.

Basically it just summarize you setlist and you have to look close what program is used to build a preset. I make sense if you use 1 preset for several songs but usually i just copy past all and build a own song preference. The app needs to develop in a way so don't take it as a comment but a feedback. We really like to see this work, besides the controlled values of midi.

I love the idea of exporting user Program Names from the Sound Manager to import into this tool. I'm not sure how easy it is to extract just the needed text from the html...?

Getting back to some earlier discussion...
sagulf wrote: 07 Feb 2026, 21:35 I had to try 5-6 times before I got it approved and each time removing spesific ns4 functionality.
Apart from whatever functionality, was merely the presence of text that said "Nord" a problem? If so, were you able to narrow down whether the issue was the use of the word Nord within the name of the app, and/or on any of the app's screens, and/or somewhere in the text description of the app that appears in the store? If that last one is an issue, I wonder if you could at least address this in a minimal fashion by changing the REQUIREMENTS line from "Stage keyboard with MIDI CC/NRPN support" to "NS4 Stage keyboard" which at least identifies it without using the Nord name, if even typing that word is an issue. And/or maybe the app could even be named "Stage Companion NS4"?

Also, does Apple impose requirements about what you say on your own web page? Maybe you can make the app's Nord-specific orientation more clear at least at https://companion.kongsjorden-studio.no/ and maybe your app store requirement description could also include something like "please see our web site for more detail about specific keyboard compatibility."

As an aside, besides other Nord Stage models, I could see where this general approach would also work well with recent Nord Electro models, and also Yamaha CK and YC models, all of which share a similar architecture... e.g. banks of (4 to 8) rewritable user programs, each with multiple (often 3) sections including a drawbar organ engine, at least some basic synth filter/envelope functions, and dedicated effects panels. But of course, there are specific differences, including CC assignments.

I actually have no idea what excatly apple declined the app on all those times. They just referes to a paragraph saying this is violation copywright issues without mentioning what exactly. I also think they dont really understand what midi is, because I really had to explain that to them the last time (got abit angry and fed up, and that actually worked) what midi is and what the app does.
