What was an imperfection at some time is later a sought-after characteristic of a sound.
Now, we even add imperfection or « character » to a sound : pitch and filter fluctuations to simulate analog synth, LoFi effects to simulate wow and flutter of a tape machine, bit resolution and sampling rate reduction to simulate old digital circuits…

One only has to look at Hammond organs and how "imperfect" the original was/is, and how many companies are nevertheless trying to get as close as possible to this original with all its shortcomings, driven by the demands of countless musicians ... any further questions?

I used this piano live yesterday. Sounded excellent. It also seems to work well in mono, at least in the brief test I did (this sound system was run stereo.) Very pleased with this one.
