Also this is a pretty generic $$ report. It doesn't tell us what units are selling and which ones are tanking. Obviously the organ bottomed out so they discontinued it. I'd also wager the Nord Grand is strictly a boutique item, even for a pricey manufacturer like Nord.

My guess is the Stage-Electro-Piano trio commands the lion's share of sales, with the Piano a distant third after the Stage and Electro. Basically pros or the well-heeled buy the Stage, the Electro is their "middle range" board and also entry-point for people ready to leave Korg or Roland, and the Piano for people who truly love the Nord look and library and just won't buy a Yamaha.

Indeed, if the Hammond M-Solo didn't just come out at such a stupid price, I could see it sitting on top of a Nord Piano as a perfect performance combo. The Hammond on the Electro is ok but you have to sacrifice weighted action if you want waterfall keys. And after playing a waterfall Electro live for years now, I can tell you it's not good for either your technique or finger strength. I would love to sell it for a Nord Piano, but I do need a Hammond something and I'm not about to lug a Crumar Mojo around. Hmm...this could be a new thread discussion.

Today, Nick Batt on his Sonicstate podcast, was asking his guests what they hoped to see at NAMM 2024. Before he let them answer he said he knew there was something new coming from, amongst others, Nord.

That's all that was said but Sonicstate frequently get stuff for review before the general public and Nick has often later said they were under NDA on a product.

Even if it's only general insider knowledge, rather than a formal arrangement with Nord, he sounded very definite.

We'll know soon enough!

It's very interesting what you're telling us there, I'm really curious about what Nord is going to offer but logically, it's the Nord Electro 7 which should be presented, I'm dying to know.

NE7 does seem the obvious choice

Or a Grand 2, or a new Lead, or ... we'll see :)

Would be very interested in a new Lead. The Wave 2, which I guess is their current flagship 'synth', isn't quite my thing. I don't need the sample section, for example.

Well it does look like Nord will be there.
Nord will be @ booth, 11110.
I wonder if they'll bring anything new.
