There two completely wrong statements

1. Work from an authorized service center does not void your warranty
2. The change is not permanent and can be switched back at anytime

And this is why you can not rely on garbage information from ill informed reps.

Got it. My best bet will be to find the right fuse and do it myself. Also get the UPS /surge protector.

This was a very long and very animated thread when a $40 step up voltage transformer will be a simple, non invasive solution

Great, so one more box to carry around. One more thing to remember to plug in and not leave behind, and you better hope nobody else plugs in your keyboard,

Its 6-8 screws, a 3 dollar fuse, a small bit of label tape to mark the input as 110V, and literally less than 10 minutes of time.
