Extern MIDI channels are globally set, right? If so I am missing NS3’s chance to set extern MIDI channels per program…

A function where the arpeggiator doesn't start until a key is pressed would be nice.
Edit: It functions as it should, simply user-error

Please bring back viewing Morph "From and To" settings (just like NS3) by single or double pressing the Morph Asign botton + the Monitor button.

I wish you could name Live presets. I understand that the naming Live Presets will not be permanent and would be changed on the fly along with the other parameters. The feature of being able to name Live presets would make the live mode so much useful and helpful. This would save time from fumbling around trying to find a live mode patch, but forgot which of the eight buttons it is stored in.

I think it would be great to have the constant rate and exponential glide options added to the existing constant time.
Do you think it's a feature that could be added in a later OS update ?

The ability to transpose each of the seven layers +-6 semitones independently of each other.

1. Different VOLUME SETTINGS (not just on/off) for each sound on main/alternate [Layer/Scene] (set sliders on each LAYER then press [STORE])
2. SPLIT POINT selectable by note and indicated by orange(?) keyboard LEDs (SCROLL selects preset LED locations, SHIFT-SCROLL selects split point by semitone)
3. OUTPUT ROUTING stored on a Program by Program basis, ie; override Global setting when desired (U/I requires some brilliant Nord Engineer thought)
4. Enable AMPLIFY WITHOUT DRIVE/DISTORTION at least on synth section to boost low volume samples (perhaps [SHIFT] [DRIVE KNOB] amplifies only)

2. Lauyer scenes to have different split settings. For example Scene I is piano and synth splitted and Scene II just piano whole keyboad. If I am right this simple setup is now impossible…

Regarding #2, similar to the earlier Stage models the NS4 has two piano engines available. Layer Scene 1 can have a piano split with a synth, and Layer Scene 2 can have the 1st piano/synth off and the 2nd piano across the entire keyboard, or Layer Scene 2 can be a blend of the 1st piano on the lower split with the 2nd piano added to the upper split.

There is a toggle mode for switching layer scene with pedal. It's not working with a regular sustain pedal, you need a switch pedal like Boss FS-5L. With a sustain pedal the layer is switched as long as you hold the pedal.
