Re: Electro 7?

Well just the addition of the VA synth to the E6 would be enough of an upgrade for me. I’m OK with the pianos and organs but the sampler engine has always been its achilles heel for me.

I'd be very surprised if the presence of VA doesn't remain one of the biggest differentiating features between the Electro and Stage. I don't see it happening. Plus it would probably mean a substantial price increase. Something simpler and less expensive to provide would be an EXTERN section, that would be nice. Then you could more easily integrate a VA synth from, say, a Roland Boutique module, or an iPad. Actually, even restoring only as much External functionality as the Electro 5 would do it.vcfvca wrote:Well just the addition of the VA synth to the E6 would be enough of an upgrade for me.
The extern section on an Electro would seal the deal for me. I'm not a fan of the synth section on the Stage 3. But I love the pianos, organs, mellotrons and ability to sample. An Electro with extern combined with an OB6 desktop would be perfect for my needs.anotherscott wrote:I'd be very surprised if the presence of VA doesn't remain one of the biggest differentiating features between the Electro and Stage. It should arrive soon.
Well, considering the Electro 6 has been available for six years, "soon" is a pretty flexible term for anything from "within the next few weeks" to "within the next few years".Gambold wrote: 05 Sep 2024, 02:20 >It should arrive soon.<
Ah, unsourced proclamations. A hallmark of Internet forum posts. Prithee sir, how do you know this? An inside person at Clavia? An exclusive mailing list just for Nord's high rollers? A burning bush?
As FZiegler pointed out, I guess that "should" probably has to be read as a "wish" not a statementanalogika wrote: 05 Sep 2024, 13:13Well, considering the Electro 6 has been available for six years, "soon" is a pretty flexible term for anything from "within the next few weeks" to "within the next few years".Gambold wrote: 05 Sep 2024, 02:20 >It should arrive soon.<
