NS4 Owners - Request for NSMP Conversion Tests NSMv7.72

The file I converted was "Whistle_Motif.nsmp" from our forum.
Renaming nsmp to nsmp3 didn't work either. NSM reported an error.
Import to Stage 4 worked well.

So I understand, you were able to convert Whistle_Motif.nsmp to NSMP3 format with the tool and then NSM converted it to NSMP4 for your Stage 4, but when you tried simply renaming Whistle_Motif.nsmp to Whistle_Motif.nsmp3, NSM wouldn't convert it? Thanks

Thanks, that might not be good. With v7.70 it was reported that simply renaming NSMP to NSMP3 worked for converting user-created files to NSMP4 with NSM. It might be associated with when categories were fixed in v7.72 perhaps, but that puts more dependence on the conversion tool (that isn't 100%) until Clavia fixes the bug.

This is my first post, so be kind to me - and hope it’s seen in the right place. ROLAND RD 709NX for 12 years.

Had this new 88 since June, with various exchanges with Nord Central Command, who have been very helpful.

SAMPLES in nsmp4 format. The FIX is very simple. Just Download the sample, manually change the name to nsmp3, then transfer onto your keyboard (on your computer), in the samples section. The machine auto transfers it to nsmp4 and it works just fine.

I’m not technical, really struggling with everything pasted page 20 in the manual, but the basics are beyond awesome and the sounds I need are either there or I’ve downloaded using above technique. Trust me, I’d I cam do it, you can do it!.

Let's be clear, are you downloading the nsmp4-Files?
Does it also work with the .nsmp-files from the website, for example the Sample Library 2.0? https://www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-lib ... library-20

Didnt work for me either. But I can convert nsmp3 to nsmp4 in NSM but not NSMP... I will send NORD an email, hope it would changes in the feature.

Did not work in my Stage 4 .. That is installed with the latest sound manager that is supposed to allow stage3 to convert to stage 4..

Hello, for clarification, the latest version of Nord Sound Manager (v 7.84) will convert Nord-created NSMP3 synth samples from their website to NSMP4 format when loading onto the Stage 4 or Piano 5, and it will also convert any "user-created" NSMP or NSMP3 synth samples to NSMP4 format as well. NSM cannot convert Stage 3 program files to Stage 4 format. If you have trouble converting a sample that falls into those categories, feel free to post it so other Stage 4 owners can help determine what the problem might be. Good luck to you.
