Yes, on most sounds other than acoustic pianos, it makes no difference. The left half of a stereo effect (like chorus, rotary, autopan, reverb), by itself, sounds the same as the right half. The main exception is acoustic piano, where the left tends to emphasize the low notes and the right the high.
Thanks both as these explantions make sense. But to add to the confusion, Nord posts on his website a shot of a Nord Electro with a "LEFT OUT MONO" output. Interestingly on my NE6 it's only written "LEFT OUT" :o

Yes, same on my Nord Electro 5, but it makes no difference. With single speaker: Always right output for the best piano sound.
