Yeah, wtibbit - that's the key information. I was only working with the two sections (Piano / Sample Synth) and did not see the knob labeled "Prog/Menu". Now I can see all the sounds on the webpage and many many great sounds more - fantastic ! And I know that this invest for Piano 5 is absolutely fine. I'm fascinated !!!

And if I now can connect it to my PC and Sound Manager I would be a very happy musician. But changing USB cables, de-installation and re-installation of the Nord programs and changing various USB ports (3.0, 3.1) has had no effect. Maybe someone has a good and helpful idea ?
Many thanks to all who have posted to my theme.

Same question, we can't help you more if you don't provide this info + have you tested with a different PC (yours or a friend's)?Schorsch wrote: Which operating system do you use on your PC?

I'm using Windows 10, 64-bit - I will try it with a laptop this evening.

And don't install the Clavia USB driver, go and test it with just Sound Manager installed ...stiegele wrote:I'm using Windows 10, 64-bit - I will try it with a laptop this evening.

Re: Nord Piano 5 Sound "Grand Digi Pad LF"
It has worked - connection between Piano 5 and laptop without this damn USB driver is working properly.
Now I have to find out how I get rid of all this USB stuff in my PC (not only de-installation of the apps but also find all referred data in registry). Still some work to do.
Many thanks for your help. This is the best and helpful forum I've ever worked with !

Hi Siegele,
there should be no reason to fiddle with the registry for this.
First disconnect the Nord from your PC if it is still connected, and reboot the PC.
For all others: sorry, I used the german names of the apps and options here since I assume that stiegele is on a german version of Windows 10 ...

- Press "Win" + "X" and select "Eingabeaufforderung" or "Windows Power Shell" as Administrator
- Type the following command and press the Enter button to execute the command: SET DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1
- Press "Win" + "X" and open "Gerätemanager", klick on "Ansicht" and enable "Ausgeblendete Geräte anzeigen".
- Go down to "USB Controller" and klick on the left arrow to show the full list of all USB devices. Right-click on each device which is shown in light grey (faded-out") and select "Gerät deinstallieren".

Hello Schorsch,
Many thanks for your advise and help.
I did it as described but it still the connection between Piano 5 and my PC did not work. It was no problem to do this with the old laptop so I was able to organize the sounds as planned.
Now I'm going to work with this wonderful piano.
